And DeSantis will lose to Graham. Putnam will beat her.

You might want to rethink that after tonight......

I am having a hard time understanding why DeSantis wants to leave congress and I hate to see him go. He is kicking butt there.

I saw Ron DeSantis at an evening campaign rally and the next morning he is back in Washington DC doing his job.

Ron DeSantis is the real deal.

He is a leader in Congress while all too many GOP Congress people are more concerned about pushing the agendas of their Masters.

There is a reason Trump supports DeSantis. Trump knows a leader when he sees it.

The Democrat contenders for Florida Governor will do poorly.

I agree, lilypad. I watched him at the hearing this morning and was so proud. But I’d like him as our Governor as well. Too many good ones are leaving Congress this year!

Governor of a large state ———> chance for running for POTUS.

Congressman rarely gets that promotion.

Same here. DeSantis one of the best Republicans in Congress, along with Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz, Mark Meadows, and a handful of other true patriots.

If I lived in Florida - based on this debate tonight - I would definitely vote for Ron DeSantis in the primary. He blew Putnam away. Putnam seemed slick and smarmy... deflecting questions, shouting and grandstanding.

That "Welcome to Florida, Congressman!" comment to DeSantis was incredibly condescending.

Ron DeSantis was the winner of the debate in my opinion. He was straightforward and crisp in his answers. He was born in Florida, went to Dunedin H.S., has a good wife and has two very young children. I can understand why he would like to go back to the state he loves as Governor.

What kind of makeup does Bret Baier have on his face? He looks like he’s in a minstrel show.

Jeb was a very good governor. He was not a good presidential candidate.

Agreed. DeSantis won hands down. Putnam came across as smarmy, and annoyingly shouted every answer (often not even coming close to answering the question, too).

Sounds like Jeb-loving Putnam is a part of the Cheap Labor Express wing of the Republican party, too. NOT good.

“””And DeSantis will lose to Graham. Putnam will beat her.”””

As Hillary Clinton would say: “Jeb Bush or Adam Putnam. What difference does it make.”

It was probably good they televised the debate for Floridians. I am just glad they didn’t preempt Tucker again. I love Trump, but do wish he would schedule his rallies during McCallum’s show, not Tucker’s.

Jeb s-u-k-c-e-d as governor. But he was better than a Dem; slightly better. He is just a GOPe dope - and that pathetic bull about “loving” the immigrants, or whatever. More Bush-Bull-Shush
.
His handling of the citrus canker situation smacked of big business favoritism, and even included a chapter on violation of the constitutional rights of citizens. Total bill for the damages still unknown, but the class action settlements are going to be HUGE.
.
And the romantical stories about his Mexican wife who he met while on a field trip during high school. She thought she was exempt from the rules - (she got caught while bringing expensive stuff into the USA from Paris after a shopping trip. Violation of customs limits, etc.)
.
I considered suggesting that Jeb was a “nice guy”, but that would be a stretch. He is just another greedy grabber who was raised to believe he is entitled to what others have to work for. Kind of like a white male version of Hillary Clinton; just without the shrieking and sore-loserism.
Well that is my opinion. YMMV
