Nunes calls for testimony from 17 FBI, DOJ officials on government surveillance abuse

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., wants 17 current and former FBI or Justice Department officials to testify on Capitol Hill about possible government surveillance abuse during the 2016 election, including fired FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe and embattled FBI official Peter Strzok.

In a letter obtained by Fox News, Nunes requests that the joint task force of the Oversight and Judiciary Committees take steps to interview these officials because they may “have relevant information.”

The House Intelligence Committee does not have direct oversight over the FBI and the DOJ, so testimony is more likely to be compelled by referring names to the Oversight and Judiciary Committees.

Interesting, but I believe if they don't get a special counsel, or fire Rosenstein and replace him with an honest person, the DOJ is not going to launch a real investigation of itself.

Rosenstein will be impeached, and soon.

They should add Obama, Jarrett, and Rice to the list.

I am buying popcorn for impeachment, waiting for full charges on the overthrow attempt. Gallows? Electric chair? I prefer firing squad for sedition.

Once Mueller wraps up, Trump will clean house.

The LEFT has a wolf by the ears and they know it.

No, all from FBI and DOJ. Note that some of them are good guys. George Toscas called the FBI the "Federal Bureau of Matters."

Dems and RINOs don't want them to testify.

Mueller may want to keep this going forever, but public support seems to be falling.

Mueller isn't going anywhere on his own. He, Rosenstein and Sessions are the insurance policy as long as they are in place.

Nunes and friends in Congress are building support for a contempt vote and maybe an impeachment vote in the House. The Senate would never remove Rosenstein, but at that point Trump will have enough congressional support to start jettisoning the Deep State triumvirate that forms the insurance policy.

That is my hope.

I do not have high confidence in any scenario, but this one seems practicable.

I cannot understand how the Sessions Sycophants can continue to defend an AG that has allowed Rosenstein to usurp his authority beyond the Russian Collusion investigation, and who has refused to honor Constitutional oversight of the DOJ. Those are the deeds of an Honorable Rule-of-Law official?

The GOP needs to drop the term, “bias.” Everyone has biases. There is nothing criminal associated with bias.

However, a White House directed operation involving executive branch agencies to defeat/remove a political opponent is both a felony and the highest of high crimes.

Who will accept the future election of a rat President if these criminals are not punished?

My feelings as well.

During the recent committee hearing with Wray and RosenWeasel Congress woman Jackson-Lee referred to him as "Mr Attoney General...". He has assumed power and decision making which is not related to the Mule Team. It has to stop; he must be stopped.

Who will flip-out and point at Obama and Clinton?
When will Obama’s pardon of his bad acts be revealed? (hypothetical)

-oo- Remember when the media was buzzing about Trump considering pardoning himself for the “crimes” committed in the Russiagate fiasco?

Gregg Jarrett filled in for Hannity (radio), yesterday and he said that sources in the DOJ tell him that Sessions goes to work everyday and may as well be in a closet for all that people see him. Rosenstein runs the place.

Jarrett also said that Sessions will go down in history as the most feckless, incompetent and useless AG ever.

What happened to Susan Rice’s cyber warrior who was told to stand down on Russian interference?

Why was that order given?

Was the DNC working with the Russians? That makes more sense.

Why would Putin even want Trump when he knew precisely which door in the whore house to knock for Hillary, who would perform any unnatural act for a price?

The logic is falling down. It was the DNC working with the Russians, who spent more resources attacking Trump than Hillary, although this is belied by Mueller.

This Rice thing was an unbelievable revelation yet we hear nothing more about it. Why stand down?
