Things can and have quickly turn modern sophisticated cities into killing field hell holes before their inhabitants very eyes. Two examples I give you are Sarajevo and Beirut.

Well the sooner someone kills soros (and his kids), tom steyer, and a select few others on the loony left it could be avoided.
CW2 would not feature set-piece battles between uniformed soldiers like Manassas or Gettysburg. Rather, the battles would be more like the ones fought in recent years at Aleppo, Homs and Palmyra, with heavy civilian casualties and massive destruction of property. And the war would not conclude with an Appomattox. It could go on for decades, like the Burmese civil war that began in the late 1940’s and is still being fought by the great grand children of the original combatants.
I see it building everyday. Now with the court going conservative, I doubt the next time a Christian turns down a gay couple request and declines it there won’t be a law suite there be a bomb thrown.
Yup, the poorest are most likely to be obese, have smart phones, and are used to air conditioning. Can’t see them choosing the hardship sustained civil unrest would bring while these conditions persist.
I am kind of torn if the advent of the 24 hour news cycle/smart phone/social media makes it more or less likely to have sustained civil unrest. On one hand we are simply the most passively entertained people ever. On the other hand it causes folks to get into a froth over things I think. True, it is ‘internet rage’ mostly. I do know if the entertainment faucet gets turned of there are a lot of folks who have absolutely no idea of how to actively entertain themselves without looking a at screen. I think it might drive many into psychosis, maybe they would look for a cause or a violent outlet to relieve their boredom.

The people who care enough to deign to vote usually completely underestimate the number of people who care as much as they do. The eligible voters who choose not to vote have outnumbered any single political party for 100+ years.

Maybe so. But the interior fighting/rioting could easily morph into internecine warfare between militias, as has happened in Lebanon, Syria, Yugoslavia, etc.
Can you see that happening in Omaha NE or Provost UT? You peppers/anarchists paint with too broad of a brush. We are nation of 50 semi independent countries. It would be good to remember that.
Those were mainly Muslim vs anti-Muslim and could happen here eventually. Could happen in Europe more easily by a "right wing" government trying to restore law and order. Anarcho-tyranny as proposed by Sam Francis the concept is that the law abiding are constantly hounded for small crimes while big time criminals roam free as the justice system breaks down. Trump will restore law and order for the time being but the leftists will eventually take over again to continue their anarcho-tyranny. As we get furrther down the road to a civil war the anarchy will increase along with the tyranny.
Many suburbs will be virtual prisons with almost complete tyranny, but the cities could devolve into anarchy as you suggest. Depending on which leftists are in power, the vigilance committees will be tracked down and wiped out while the gangs are allowed to pillage and loot within certain liimits. It might gradually become the new normal.
Could become the new normal. There will be a higher risk of death or injury and people will accept that risk for some very relative peace and government cheese.
The down side of armed leftists is that normal people may have to fight them. The up side is that armed people realize they are not dependent on government to protect them from life, perhaps not even to give them stuff - armed leftists may become real Americans.

Most people in the country simply do not care one way or the other.
It’s times like this where it is important to remember that we (and the ultra left) are in the “tail ends” of the spectrum. There is nowhere near the mass needed to break out into a civil war.
A good example of this is that there about 35k people subscribed to the Q reddit, there are almost a million subscribed to NSFW Gifs (a porn sub reddit.)
It is important to keep yourself in perspective and context.
