Our system of government is largely set up in a fashion that most of us can continue to live our daily lives in the manner of which we are comfortable regardless of what party occupies power in Washington. That's why only half of us even bother to vote.
November will be perhaps the most consequential midterm election in history and I'll bet turnout is under 50% of eligible voters.
What it will look like is like nothing seen in our lifetimes. Blooder eventually than the first go around and as the LEFT is not prepared I look for them to reach out to third world leftest and Jihadist for true fighting men offering citizenship, money and sex.
Though most leftist will have no stomach for face to face fighting, they will have no problems bombing schools Hospitals or anywhere they can get a high body count of innocent. And GOD have mercy on you if you are Patriot and are captured, pray you save a bullet for yourself.
Think Bosnia over all Beirut is another good example of what we can expect, but I think we may get an even better example soon for especially for Blue State areas when Venezuela finally goes up in flames. And that’s how communism dies not with a whimper, but in fire and blood.

The fact is we Americans have been living the good life for several generation now and that has made us susceptible to a condition called Normalcy Bias. This can get you killed is is something you must seriously guard against. Normalcy Bias cause people to not accept that a breakdown is occurring even as they watch it happening before their eyes.
It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and as well as the seriousness of what is happening.
This condition is common in situations where people have failed to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations. (A recent example I give you Nicaragua’s Telica volcano eruption)
Many times people make the assumption that since a disaster has never occurred then it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before and deeply believed that never would occur.
People with Normalcy Bias also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer the situation is far less serious than it real is.

You either prepare and stand on your own beholden to no one or you become dependent on others to provide your basic needs and become their ‘serf’. Me I don’t want to be beholden to anyone for providing what is needed for me and mine. I certainly don’t want to have to kiss some ‘gubberment’ third class bureaucratic to try and coax some help from them, I don’t want some ‘jack booted’ thug herding me in line and telling me where to stand, sit, eat or sleep. And last but not least I don’t want to be shut up in with a bunch of ‘zombies’ and have to worry about not only trying to get basic necessities but having to fight to keep what I manage to get.
I also posted this advice the other day, but it bears repeating: If you watch this thread you will see that even on FR there are those who hate and scoff at those who would be prepared to take care of their own should a shtf event occur. They like to claim they are not worried,because nothing is going to happen, some even say things like if it happens I just rob the preppers for my needs. When called on their words they claim they are only joking, but in my experience people who try to mask their words by claiming that they are only joking are only trying to cover the slip of the real them that came out in their words.
When push comes to shove you would surprised what people who claim they don’t care will do to cling to life.
One of the most dangerous groups that preppers will have to deal with are the anti-preppers, because they will not only covet what preppers have they will feel the need to punish preppers for having prepared and will feel morally justified in punishing preppers as in their twisted minds they will see the reason that the SHTF event occurred was because they dared prep for it. Their envy and indignation will be like that of leftist have for people who strikes out works hard and makes a good living or even gets well off and not sharing with them. This is a leftist think, but I have seen it’s example as I state above right here on the pages of FR,

For those of you who haven’t started already it’s time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, cash (I myself have been putting up change for the past few years both for the metal content and the fact that using change places to make what purchases you can will move you down the the list of possible marks during shtf), tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.
As the LDS say “When the emergency is upon us the time for preparedness has past.”

War, even a guerrilla type war requires an organization, it requires money, it requires supplies (and resupplies), it requires some training, it requires people willing to die for their cause. Sort of what some “preppers” have been doing. But can you imagine the snowflakes that make up the cannon fodder of the left today be willing to make the sacrifices required to be ready to go to war? No! I can not either.
Look to the middle east for lessons on urban guerrilla warfare.
How effective are the Muslims against Israel? The Palestinians have support, they have supplies, they have people willing to die for their cause, yet after 70 years they have nothing to show for all the deaths.
Paid rioters catching random individuals or facing police under orders not to react with too much force is not a civil war. It is riots.
Our nation has seen riots before and will see them again.
I suspect most of the demonstrators in these leftist riots are just young people enjoying themselves destroying property. If they thought there was a possibility of them dying during the riots they would not participate.

This isn’t about North or South and if you think the North is unarmed you’re uninformed.
This is about liberals riling up the have nots to start acting out.
At some point the quiet conservatives will start carrying weapons and actively defending themselves.
At that point, the left will attempt to outlaw self-defense and the mayors and governors will seek to confiscate weapons, it won’t happen at the federal level unless we let another liberal in the White House.
If libs get control, then the fight will be with those attempting to confiscate weapons.
If commerce shuts down, that’s a different story.
If there will be a CW II in America, it will start with an world wide economic collapse, a run on the banks, so-to-speak. With a little fact checking, you can find out that the crash of '29 was also followed by another crash 2 years later, because the Fed Gov did not know what they were doing. What I am indicating here is that for CW II to happen there will be a series of cascading events that lead to the condition for violent uprising.
The USA is a majority of "normals" both Dem and Repub who just want to go about their lives. When the average Joe sees the normal living becoming untenable, that is when the first skirmishes will start.
