It’s not clear from the article which side he was counter-protesting. However, looking at the photo I’d put money on him supporting the liberal side. I’ve noticed a distinct lack of grooming among some of the higher-strung liberals which I associate with other aberrant behaviors. In addition, having a conservative friend who became a fifth grade teacher I learned that in order to graduate, he had to hide his conservative views. I conclude that, for the most part, teachers in public schools are liberals as that’s how they are taught. (A visiting speaker came to talk to his class about her experiences in the Viet Nam protests. She burst into tears over “Bush’s war” in Iraq wailing, “Have we learned nothing!?” Learning about the Viet Nam protests was the entire point of having her there.)
They didnt report which side and had no interviews with the antiFa protestors decrying the other bringing guns to their peaceful march. That should tell you all you need to know.
He was a counter protester (our side). He got in a confrontation with one of the protesters (their side) and that's when he pulled a gun.
I'm not going to condemn him so quickly. There were a lot of protests happening yesterday including one in Portland that turned into a riot when AntiFa started hurling bottles, trash, and explosives at Proud Boys who then beat the s**t out of them. Naturally, media coverage left out the first part of this account.
There might be more to this story as well.
