Wow. This could effectively break the unions.

They’ll have to raise their dues for the bitter clingers...

Those workers were ‘state-subsidized’....payments for their services were partly paid with state taxpayer funds.

That could open the door for many other ‘private companies’ employees that get state or Federal funds to be in the target zone.

Thus pleases me. Instead of donating that money to liberals, they will need it to pay their lawyers and to return to the rank and file. This Supreme Court is defanging the union monster and eliminating the Dems ATM.

A good start.

Unions have effectively been given “Get out of jail free” cards for the last 75 years!

They have been immune from prosecutions for numerous crimes.

All that is unconstitutional. It is clearly unequal protection under the law.

Construction workers who are employed by a private company but doing work on government projects?????

Tip of the iceberg I’d say the decision was.

“I thought last weeks ruling did not apply to unions in the private sector.

I believe that the two rulings are unrelated.

Yes. Hopefully the beginning ofa bunch more like it.

While they are at it I would like to see them abolish the $^^$^$^^ Davis Bacon Act. And the prevailing wage garbage.

“In bigger question, did union dues stop getting automatically deducted at end of month payroll?”

I think that would depend on the Appellate Court enjoining the union from collecting any more money while the case goes through the court.

“Wonder what they’ll cut first. Pension payments? Salaries of current union representatives? Political contributions?

Will they raise dues of remaining members?”

They have no good choice here, but of the four, I’d imagine political contributions would have to go first, which would be the best solution for the country.

Unions illegally took our money. It needs to come back, with interest.

Unions already spent that dues money greasing the palms of their cronies in their friendly corruption networks.

If they have to pay it back, they’re going to have to find it somewhere.

That will be a fun thing to watch.

Hubby is part of the union for firefighters. Retired now so it costs him very little. I know the President of the local union very well. We have had this conversation about the union supporting Dems time and time again. He still doesn’t get it.
Loss of union dues shouldn’t be a problem for them anymore. They recently moved the union hall and opened up an expensive venue to the public for wedding receptions, etc. They are now charging the firefighters to use their own union hall that they paid for. Boy did he get a piece of my mind over that.

“While they are at it I would like to see them abolish the $^^$^$^^ Davis Bacon Act. And the prevailing wage garbage.”

Trump needs also to attack “union work rules!” Last Thursday, as I was heading for work across the Benicia Bridge east of San Francisco, I noted a heavy concentration of RV’s, trailers, and boats heading north. Then I realized that they were probably union members who have “Black Friday work rules, and get every other Friday off, instead of only having to work a half day every Friday. These kinds of “work rules” drive the cost of the services offered by the companies for whom they work. So in effect they work to be an adjunct to “prevailing wages.”

“Wow. This could effectively break the unions.”

While I hope it bankrupts the corrupt unions like SEIU it won’t have any effect on those few unions that are honest and forthright with their members.

There are a few of those and I’ll note they mostly serve engineering professionals and law enforcement.
