Well, the reason for the law appears to be that many of the unions represent less than half of the eligible teachers. That can be taken to mean that most of the teachers already do not pay dues.
It would seem that there are in fact none or at least very few that would be paying against their will.
However since the union is not representtive of the majority, there can be collective bargining tht is in effect ignored
While I do not know for certain, I wouldnt be surprised if it was ratified by FL voters at the polling place. I despise direct democracy; it has done enormous damage to FL law.
I would not be surprised. The Union (or a surrogate sponsors it) and a lot of money is spent with a promise of how good it will be for the children, and the news media only presents one side of the argument. That is how many propositions are passed in California.
What is especially irritating is their drivel about the children.
Anyone who believes teachers unions look out for the interests of children will believe the UAW looks out for the interests of automobiles.
Government schools should not exist.
Especially since they turned them into Stalinist Sausage Factories.
It seems that these bozos really DO know what “shall not be infringed” means.
