A group of Florida local teacher organizations and individual teachers — both members and non-members — joined the Florida Education Association on Monday in suing the state over changes in union certification law that took effect over the weekend.

Somehow I seriously doubt that a non-union person would join a protest in favor of a union to protest a ruling that reduces the power that a union has over non-union people.

What am I missing here? No one’s right to collective bargaining, guaranteed in FL constitution, is being denied.

Of course they have to have more than 50% membership. Why should a minority be able to bargain for the majority?

Either these teachers can’t think straight, or I am missing something here.

Pretty sure at first the ‘bosses’ didn’t mind withholding union dues so the union ‘goons’ wouldn’t be hanging around on payday to collect from each member individually.

Time for the ‘bosses’ to stop the withholdings and quit withholding for the government also.

If that ‘windfall’ were to happen, would be the appropriate time to load up on pop corn and tar and feather futures.
