I don’t understand why some of the geriatrics like Ginsburg are sticking in there. Anyone with half a brain could see there’s a very good chance that Trump will be re-elected - do they really hope to stick it out until 2024, and the hopes that a Democrat will be elected THEN who can pick their replacement? Very simple — she can’t let go of power. She doesn’t need the money — she’s worth something like $30 million (her late husband was a prominent tax attorney and law professor in DC, and was once a law partner of Sargent Shriver).

She doesn’t need to hold on until trump is out of office - she needs to hold on until the senate is controlled by democrats - could happen in Nov - if it doesn’t, she’ll probably die on the bench trying to hold on.
