Divorcing Trump: Why some conservatives are now pushing Democrats (!)
Fox News ^ | 6 June 2018 | Howard Kurtz

Posted on 07/06/2018 4:40:50 AM PDT by Magnatron

The conservative commentators who absolutely despise President Trump are in a box.

During the campaign, many loudly proclaimed that they could never vote for Trump. But they said they didn't want Hillary Clinton to win either. So some opted for fringe candidates or third-party candidates or write-in candidates or told people to make up their own minds.

This was something of a charade. Either Trump or Clinton was going to be the next president. So by refusing to back Trump, they were increasing the chances that Hillary would win.

Now, with the midterms approaching, some of those on the right are taking the step that they refused to take in 2016: They are openly rooting for the Democrats.

This is how topsy-turvy our politics have become.

Be it the PUMAs in 2008, the #NeverTrumpers in 2016 or this or that, the media is always looking for this nearly non-existent group of hardcore Democrat/GOP partisans that are leaving in droves over just how upset they are.

This story is BS, who the hell follows Bill Kristol, Max Boot, or George Will (scum bags all)? With enemies like these Trump will continue his rise in the polls.

Indeed! If there is such a thing as "Scoop Jackson democRATs," then these must be "Arlen Specter Republicans."

No use for them whatsoever. And "conservatives?" Ha!

Max Boot (should have his ass booted back to Russia), George Will, and a handful of other bitter people are pushing this, and no one listens to them but MSNBC, and CNN.

I think by definition if someone supports the Democrats agenda they are not conservative. You have to wonder if they ever were “conservatives”.

“Dead bodies float down stream.” Conservatives swim against the river of liberalism, socialism and evil.

"There are three political movements trying to operate within a two-party system: 1. Globalists 2. Nationalists 3. Marxists."

Exactly! And Globalists & Marxists are both so diametrically opposed to Nationalists that they have and will very willing join together against their common enemy. Thus RINOs and today's radical Democrats unite as anti-Trumpers.

We are in the process of re-alignment of the political parties. For better or worse.

Initally, the working/earning class was ignored/pushed out of the democrat party. Initally they were captured by Nixon (silent majority), then by GW Bush (soccer moms, those opposing gun-grabbing), now are solidly with Trump. This hollowed out the democrat party — loosing its middle and leaving limousine liberals, virtue-signalers, and gimme-dats.

As a result the republican “elites” lost control of the party (they maintained control during Reagan by pushing Bush the elder onto him as VP). They were being shunned at “the best parties” by the democrat limousine liberals, their former friends. After being unable to trash Trump, they are now fleeing the republican clan and virtue signaling to get accepted by these limousine liberals.

This results in a class-stratified set of political parties. The joke is on the Marxists... They predicted the stratification as proletariat vs. owners/bourgeois. The American political stratification has become elites+government-dependents vs owners+proletariat(workers).

We had a strong majority and conservative movement with Reagan. But there was not enough glue/structure to continue it when The Man left the scene. Now is the time to start building the permanent new/restructured Republican party to Keep America Great when The Man Trump has finished his 2 terms.

Try this on for size: all of these idiots were never really “conservative”, they only pretended to be as they dutifully played their roles in the uniparty charade that Trump has exposed.

LOLOL!!! Bill Kristol, Max Boot and Steve Schmidt are NOT conservatives.

Don’t waste your time reading poor Howie’s drivel.

He must’ve had an article due and this was the best he could come up with. 🙄

These establishment types fall into two categories as I see it:

1. Country Club Conservatives - it’s all about corporate interests to them. Ergo they want cheap labor and outsourcing and at the end of the day they want to rub elbows with wealthy Leftist elites. Sure they’ll say all the right things on the campaign but that’s for those lowly rubes out there they assure their Leftist friends. They would never be so beastly as to actually do any of the things they campaign on - not to worry!

2. Neocons. This strange little tribe of Liberals has a messianic/imperialist bent and wants to use the blood and treasure of America to go around the world toppling and subverting any number of foreign countries to for e them to do things our way whether they’re an actual threat to us or not. They’re not the least bit concerned about the cost because they won’t be paying it - you will.

Neither are conservatives or libertarians. Both are subspecies of RINOs.

Hmmmm...we've seen this before...

LOYALISTS

Loyalists were American colonists who remained loyal to the British Crown during the American Revolutionary War, often called Tories, Royalists, or King's Men at the time. They were opposed by the Patriots who supported the revolution and called them "persons inimical to the liberties of America".[1] Prominent Loyalists repeatedly assured the British government that many thousands of them would spring to arms and fight for the crown. The British government acted in expectation of that, especially in the southern campaigns in 1780-81. In practice, the number of Loyalists in military service was far lower than expected. Patriots watched suspected Loyalists very closely and would not tolerate any organized Loyalist opposition.

Yale historian Leonard Woods Larabee has identified eight characteristics of the Loyalists that made them essentially conservative and loyal to the king and Britain:[6]

Other motives of the Loyalists included:

Historians have estimated that between 15 and 20 percent of the two million whites in the colonies in 1775 were Loyalists. I originally thought it was the Dems who were loyalists...maybe it's this lot after all, even though they're both losers.

BECK is onboard

Guy Benson, Ben Shapiro, Katie Pavlich, Michelle Malkin and Dana Loesch

I'd say TRUMP has consolidated about 75% of the #NeverTRUMPers

These #NeverTRUMPers will reelect TRUMP in those important BLUE STATES of WI, MI & PA

I'm not sure I fully agree with that. Out of the three groups I listed, the two that are the most diametrically opposed are Nationalists and Globalists. Marxists can actually fall into either camp: "Marxist Nationalists" or "Marxist Globalists."

This is why Trump probably got more support among Bernie Sanders supporters in 2016 than he got from the Globalist shills in the GOP.

This is fake news to mitigate the #WalkAway movement.

With few exceptions, most Never Trumpers have realized that they were wrong and joined the MAGA train.
