Despite what many of us want to believe, President Donald Trump is the front-runner in 2020. If you supported him in 2016, you have little reason to regret your choice -- he's working hard to fulfill all his campaign promises. Sure, the polls often show that Trump's approval rating is underwater. But voters are a lot more than just data points graphed onto projections.
No incumbent president in recent history has presided over a strong economy, not been enmeshed in a ground war and lost the next election. So, for those of us who desperately want to see a new president, just telling ourselves that a majority of the voters in key states will see what we see and feel how we feel isn't enough to actually win. It's going to take more than the constant tearing of garments and endless howls of outrage to beat him. It's going to take an outside factor -- like Justice Anthony Kennedy's retirement.
There's no easily foreseeable reason the Senate won't be able to confirm whomever Trump nominates. In theory, Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, could join the 49 Democrats and slow the process, but it may not be realistic to expect every Democrat to stick together, particularly ones up for re-election in red states....

What a conundrum for CNN. They want Trump out in 2020, but what will do it is what they despise so much.
Never mind that most of the country disapproves of abortion except in VERY limited circumstances.
“Back to the states” is the liberal’s nightmare, regarding abortion, marriage, and a lot of other things. Too close to the people and too far from Deep State.
If Roe were overturned, making the question of abortion a state issue, I wonder how many states would retain their existing practices, and how many would ban it severely or completely, seeing the degraded moral condition of this country.
My guess is that very few states would ban it outright.
Leftists are frightened little children and RvW is the Boogieman.

Does the Supreme Court get abortion cases often?
If only these clowns would engage brain before speaking, they’d realize how difficult that would be. First, someone has to file a suit to overturn Roe v. Wade. Then it gets appealed and after 3-4 years it MAY get to the SCOTUS and the MAY or MAY NOT hear the case. Then the justices would have to make a 9-0 or 8-1 to overturn.
Failure anywhere along the line means Roe v. Wade stands. Much as I’d like it overturned, the chances are about equal to Liberals loving USA.

For RvW to be ‘overturned’, there first has to be a ‘case’.
For there to be a ‘case’ there must be a ‘wrongdoing’.
I cannot think of a way for that to actually come about.

All based on faulty premise, of course. In reality they will get neither.
That is how I feel about it.
These choices have less to do with reversing Roe v Wade and more about returning sanity and the rule of law to our judiciary branch.
But this is ALL the Left has. They have NO OTHER RALLYING POINT. Most Americans want the border protected including hispanics and blacks. Most Americans like what they see in the economy and foreign affairs. Identity politics is starting to run aground on the rocks as more numerous fragmented portions of the electorate are pitted against each other and forced to take sides.
Hysteria on Roe v Wade is all they have.
