Robert Costa, a Washington Post political reporter and NBC News political analyst, tweeted Thursday: "When I asked a prominent Trump ally about Sen. Lee/ SCOTUS, they said this article is floating around the WH, as evidence that he's a long shot."
Costa included a link to an Associated Press story about Lee casting a "protest" vote in the 2016 presidential election for independent candidate Evan McMullin.

Lee’s chances? I would think near zero, at least for this vacancy. Unlike most of the other possible choices Lee is fully on record with regards his views on Roe and Casey. As such he would almost certainly galvanize the Dimocrats into a solid No vote along with the two GOP moderates. So no, Trump is not going to pick him for this vacancy.

Lee’s Mormon family councilor growing up in DC was Harry Reid. I could go into more crap, but that should tell everyone enough.
At least Ted Cruz was running for president and had a natural, built-in reason to oppose Trump in the primaries. Lee doesn’t have even that fig leaf. Have we ever had a Mormon supreme court justice?

There are multiple reasons Harry Reid was never indicted in Utah. One is Mike Lee. Another is his brother Thomas lee on the Utah Supreme Court.
It’s not just Lee’s views on Roe V Wade; the backstabbing, stupid, damned RINO, POS, #NEVER TRUMPER has ZERO chance to be
a Justice as long as Trump is president and it was Lyin’ Ted who started and is keeping this garbage ( about Lee being considered, which is a LIE! ) afloat.
