Sorry they cannot be depended upon. I am a grandmother - any woman with 7 children cannot be depended upon to not be distracted and unfocused because her focus is divided between her profession and her family. Even if she has farmed them out to a nanny she will always be partially concentrating on what is going on at home - or at least she ought be.

Mike Lee is no for me. What’s the deal, his seat is safe with him in it till 2022/3. So why does Trump or anyone want to make Lee’s safe GOP seat vacant now. Nooooooooo. We don’t need any GOP senate seat put unnecessarily back “on the market”.

Disagree. Just like 10 years or hard leftism can destroy the country through precident so can 10-15 years dramatically help the country. I’m not suggesting having a staunch nominee for 30-40 years wouldn’t be great but in the names I’ve heard people are iffy because the lack of time on the bench (not enough legal writings to know how they are on a number of issues). Well to me it’s more important to have the right person on the bench even if it’s a shorter term than someone whom we’re not 100% sure of for years.

Agreed. Especially given that he has been totally silent on the greatest crimes of our times, FBIgate. Also, it’s not hard to imagine Lee siding with the leftists on things like the travel ban given the positions of his church. Lee would be a disaster on SCOTUS.
