Jimmy Carter: Jesus Would 'Approve' of Gay Marriage, Some Abortions
Breitbart ^ | July 9, 2018 | Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D.

Posted on 07/09/2018 8:16:05 AM PDT by Zakeet

Speaking of his faith, Mr. Carter said in his career as a politician he never ran across "any really serious conflicts between my political obligations and my religious faith."

Asked about gay marriage, he replied that it is "no problem with me. I think everybody should have a right to get married regardless of their sex."

Regarding whether he thinks Jesus would approve of gay marriage, Carter replied "I don’t have any verse in Scripture," but added, "I believe that Jesus would approve of gay marriage."

"I think Jesus would encourage any love affair if it was honest and sincere and was not damaging to anyone else and I don't see that gay marriage damages anyone else," he said.

Even if he was right, when there isn’t any right at all to what he said, he said “some abortions”. Over 50 million Mr. Carter? Even according to his own evil reckonings there surely couldn’t be any reason, even in his sick mind, for over 50 million children’s lives having been snuffed out. And he doesn’t think he has any problem with his beliefs and politics. How many more millions and millions of babies’ lives fall into his weak, sniveling and cowardly excuse of “some abortions”.

“So if Scripture is silent on something, that means Jesus would approve?”

As President, I can’t think of ONE pro-life person in his administration. He and Rosalynn were both 100% abortion-supporting “Christians”.

Sigh. Feel just the way you do. One of those topics wife and I can rarely talk about without anger. She knows some gay people as friends, so that might be part of it.

And unrepentant sin leads to seared consciences, at which point humbling yourself in repentance is almost impossible. I’m afraid that will describe many of today’s militant sodomites/alphabet soup perverts, because they now have societal validation. Which is one reason why such sins are more egregious on earth-the unholy, detrimental impact on entire societies.

I don’t say things such as widespread adultery and easy divorce haven’t had societal impact, but I’ve yet to hear of “adulterers’ pride” parades, or such incidents as Hussein lighting the White House in the (if there were such) colors of adulterers’ pride. In fact, the very fact of the sodomite lobby co-opting the rainbow-symbol of God’s promise to never again destroy the world by flood, due to almost universal sin-is an intentional slap in the face to Biblical (real, not politically co-opted) Christianity and God Almighty Himself. It will be a sad day for the unrepentant when they learn that their puny attempts to hit back at the God of creation (a Being in whose existence they profess to not even believe), were akin to attempting to insult Mount Everest, except with eternal repercussions.

Not to mention the baby murder cohort, for whom Jesus said it would be better that they had millstones put around their necks and were thrown into the ocean depths.

The recordings of the evil woman who laughed as she wondered how many murdered baby parts it would require to buy a Lamborghini, said it all about what the abortion agenda is really about. Almost no one calls for the abolition of abortion in the case of the terrible, agonizing decision between the life of the mother and the life of the child, but that’s not what the baby murder lobby demands. They demand abortion as form of birth control, attempting to normalize the murder of humans in the womb. It’s hardly an exaggeration when we say that abortion is practically a “sacrament” in the humanist “religion”.

Plus, they contradict their own argument, in that Jesus preached on hell more than any other topic, but the leftist mainstream denominations, aligned with the non/anti-Christians, deny either the importance of hell, or even its very existence. IOW, Jesus certainly preached on hell, but they don’t want to know, or they outright deny the reality of hell.

I understand. I understand your untenable position on this, because it’s your wife. I don’t know if you feel that you can say anymore at this point, but one point of debate could be that, just because she might know and even love, for instance, a family member who had committed serial, unrepentant adultery, would she feel that she had to defend adultery itself in that case?

(I know there’s a weakness in this argument, I haven’t yet taken the time to find it).

She sees homosexuality as equivalent to infidelity. I told her that I think there is something partularly heinous about homosexuality.

Matthew 24:4-5
And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.

I wonder how many Georgians who voted for him in 1976 now deeply regret it. He didn’t fool this Georgian. The worst ex-president has always impressed me as a liberal.
