Levin: Never Seen a Campaign ‘as Aggressive, as Nasty, as Ruthless, and as Dishonest’ as Kavanaugh’s

Nationally syndicated radio talk show host, TV host, author and American lawyer Mark Levin (Screenshot) On his nationally syndicated radio talk show Monday, host Mark Levin expressed alarm at the forcefulness with which some had pushed for Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court

Below is a transcript of Mark Levin’s remarks on his show Monday:

“Then we get to Kavanaugh. I have never seen a campaign for a Supreme Court justice to be nominated as aggressive, as nasty, as ruthless, and as dishonest as the campaign behind Kavanaugh. That’s not to say he wouldn’t make a good justice, but there are questions.

“And should he be the nominee – because apparently, he’s the leading candidate, I don’t know firsthand – should he be the nominee, and he’s in front of that committee, we constitutional conservatives, that is, we constitutionalists, we want conservatives like Mike Lee and Ted Cruz to ask some questions to satisfy our concerns, particularly on Obamacare, particularly on abortion, particularly on immigration.

“I don’t need to hear his views on Chevron and the administrative state. We know they’re good. They’re very good. But I need to know if he’s a constitutionalist. All of them, all of them.”

You’re thinking of the campaigns AGAINST Bork and Thomas. Levin is talking about the campaign FOR Kavanaugh. There was a lot of editorial lobbying for him in the media, including both an editorial and a Karl Rove op ed in the Wall Street Journal. I think he’s going to be another Roberts: unreliable and cares too much about getting invited to all the right Washington parties.

If Ed Meese offered an opinion, I would listen carefully, but Mark Levin isn’t fit to carry Ed Meeses lunchbox. He’s always got that nevertrump bias and attitude of intellectual superiority.

Agree.

Was happy to see Ed introduced, by POTUS, last night, with this.....

...For this evening’s announcement, we are joined by Ronald Reagan’s Attorney General, Edwin Meese. And, Ed, I speak for everyone: Thank you for everything you’ve done to protect our nation’s great legal heritage.

....when, where, and how did all of this aggression, nastiness, ruthlessness and dishonesty take place, Mark? ... were you somehow privy to all that happened in the oval office because you were hiding in the knee-hole of Resolute?

LOLOL. Spot on.

I believe Levin is referring to a campaign that we didn’t see, but apparently Levin knows all about. The swamp wanted Kavanaugh and used aggressive and nasty tactics to get him nominated. He’s saying don’t trust Kavanaugh.
I am not excited about Kavanaugh either because it seems like a wrong note in the Trump song, but I am not an expert on music.

I don’t need to hear his views on Chevron and the administrative state.

Sorry Mark; for me, this and this alone is reason to put the man on the Supreme Court. The other issues are important, yes. But for the continuation of the Republic, getting the Federal Leviathan back under control is existential.

I honestly think that had the Democrats not attacked Thomas so viciously, he would not have become so conservative on the Supreme Court. Sometimes I think he takes an extreme conservative position just to spite those that treated him poorly...

He preferred Cruz but in the end supported Trump. He’s NOT a NeverTrumper. And he IS your intellectual superior (mine too). He’s argued in front of the Supreme Court, knows the Constitution inside out and was the first one to connect the dots regarding the Russia FISA warrants (March 2017). He is very vocal in his defense of presidential prerogatives and against the “silent coup” that’s being attempted by Mueller and the left. He’s not a mindless cheerleader, though, and when he thinks Trump is wrong, he calls it. AlwaysTrumpers are just as mindless as NeverTrumpers. Supporting the president does not mean you have to leave your critical faculties behind.

His praise of Kagan and Kennedy and his bragging about having a majority of female staffers also gives pause.

Those were not meant for Free Republic members. They were meant for consumption by Collins, Murkowski and Heidtkamp.

Levin is a bought and paid for Chamber of Amnesty stooge.
He stated outright that if you are for securing the border you’re an antisemite.

If Levin is this upset then Kavanaugh is not as squishy on border security as some have alleged.

“You obviously don’t read “conservative” papers or watch Fox new.”

of course i did, but not a single publication, left or right, published a single substantiated fact until Trump announced Kavanaugh as his nominee ... EVERY article prior to that was predicated on nothing but rumors from “anonymous sources” ... in other words, fake news ...

What would The One Who Grates know about the nomination campaign?

The decision pretty much happened in 2014 or 2015 when Trump had his list vetted. Everything since then is window dressing to keep people guessing.
