The linked source last month wrote that AG Sessions according to his understanding confirmed that: STRZOK LOST HIS SECURITY CLEARANCE.

This may be a simple misunderstanding. Security clearances come in several flavors. There may be, say Top Secret, Secret and Confidential. He may have lost his TS but still have a lower clearance. In which case, they are both correct.
Now, the man is stressed and embarrassed. He isn’t going to clarify something if it makes him look bad whereas letting people assume something that is not true, or no longer true, makes him feel less embarrassed.
I hate this smug SOB. And I’m not too crazy about the one on the left, either.
There is no understanding about it. If Session, as head of the agency, states that Strzok doesn't have a clearance, then Strzok doesn't have a clearance. Any confusion may be because Sesssion forgot to tell that to a subordinate or the subordinate forgot to tell Sessions that there has been no direction to remove his clearance.
But, there is no excuse for Sessions being confused on the subject.
I hope you all are paying attention to the testimony today of one the coup plotters.
He has admitted that he still has his security clearance AND that he is under NO other investigation.
Which means that the Sessions has been lying about stripping Strozek of his clearance.....AND more importantly that Huber has NOT impaneled a grand jury to investigate this corruption against Pres Trump.
I picked up on this too. Strzok definitely said that he still HAS a Top Secret clearance but Sessions sai that he did not. Are the lying to Sessions as well?
I’ve heard that explanation but Strzok was reported to have been “escorted from the building” and he no longer had a security clearance.

If you lose a security clearance due to adverse information or misdeeds, you lose all access, regardless of type of investigation. It’s a binary condition, YES or NO.
A person’s level of access will change with changes in assignment, without any adverse information.
Strzok’s assignment may have changed. I think he has demonstrated huge reliability and honesty problems.
Even if Session was confused and is wrong on this, he is too incompetent to be a recused AG and should resign or face a public firing by Trump.

That’s exactly my understanding as well.
We all heard the rumor that Strzok was escorted from the building. Some of us recognized that the sourcing on the story was bogus.

As was mentioned here there are different levels of security clearance.i t is probable Stream lost his TS clearance and only has a limited access clearance commonly held by clerks.
He was relieved of his duties and reportedly has no real responsibilities at this time.
