The DNC said they were hacked, but refused to hand over evidence to the FBI. Then they handed their evidence to a third party. Sorry that would never hold up as evidence in a court of law in the country. They would laugh you out of court.

This unlikely to ever go trial, so we will really never know. It is a plausible explanation? As a former IT worker the hack explanation seems plausible. When they got hacked, I thought it was either an inside job or incompentent IT staff that that allowed the hack to happen. The indictment seems to point to the latter. In any event, the indictment appears to exonerate the Trump campaign.
I think you are confusing the Hillary campaign server, which the FBI did not see and Hillary had Crowdstrike working on and the DNC servers which the FBI did see and look at in the DNC offices. I believe the DNC servers were mirrored by the FBI as I recall but were kept up and active.
I agree with you that Hillary would try to steal the election. I doubt the DNC staffers in general thought that she would. They have undying loyalty to the top cadre such as Hillary.
