Totally agree. The Deep State has no interest in rapprochement with Russia. I’m sure you’re well aware of their reasons and motives.
And yes, the timing was, in effect, a blunt instrument in its obviousness, if not also a threat.
Trump had better stop sleep walking and start getting busy draining the Swamp in earnest before it engulfs him. The Deep State isn’t going away; they will have to be eradicated. He had better get them before they get him.
If Russia had any interest in getting along would not have invaded Georgia and Ukraine, abducted Estonians, or be propping up regimes like Venezuela, Syria, North Korea and Iran.
It is what it is and always has been, a country even more paranoid than our tinfoil hat crowd that is obsessed with having a monopoly over resources essential to Europe in order to control its neighbors.
And only lately have the Democrats ever had a problem with that, and I think it’s an act, projection, since it was the Democrats that have given the Russians what they want all along- from calling off the missile defense shield, to uranium, to restrictions on America’s industries that compete with Russia.
