> the special counsel is pushing to wrap up a significant portion of his investigative work by the end of summer <

I don’t think this “work” will ever be wrapped up. Twenty years from now, Robert Mueller III will still be investigating things. Like if Trump’s grandson ever used Russian dressing on a salad.

How much are these lawyers being paid per hour?

The longer this farce goes on, the bigger the nest egg?

When/if it ends, will they get severance pay? Maybe federal retirement pay while they continue private practice?

Stall and delay......almost finished......same old story....

Yes, he will finish after midterms if the dem’s win.

If GOP loses, he will keep investigating until he’s fired or 2020.

Notice every time things get hairy, Mueller is about to wrap it up and the NEW deadline keeps being announced publicly.

This is the biggest crock of crap I have ever heard.

And, the GOP threatens to go along with dems and impeachment if POTUS fires him?

And, Session’s allows Rosenstein to not fire Mueller?

And POTUS can’t fire Session’s because Rosenstein would become AG and it would be even worse.

This is beyond ridiculous.

OBVIOUSLY Mueller knows the calendar regarding the November elections and is not about to let Trump off before then - more likely, after spending weeks waterboarding Manafort, he gets Manafort to sing, or rather compose, and then slams Trump with a bunch of indictments...just as early voting starts.

But OBVIOUSLY also, Trump knows this full well. So watch the Rosenstein show next week. If he gets impeached by the House, then Trump has the backing he needs to fire him. And then, hopefully, whoever does take his place will put an end to Mueller, once and for all.

They want to have this investigation go on as long as possible. As soon as it’s over they will have no excuse to turn over the documents they say they can’t turn over now because of the on going investigation.

If there is no evidence of US involvement that means no evidence of Trump involvement. If no evidence, how were FISA approvals made and how was a special council appointed?

Mueller, Rosenstein and Weissman are going to stretch out this corrupted investigation until the Fall elections because they feel it will weaken Trump and his administration, and will give the Democrats more seats I n Congress to cripple the President and his programs.

If Mueller starts to wind down now, it will be an admission that he hasn’t found squat on the non-crime of “Russian collusion”, which he should have found for the uninvestigated “Democrat Party/Clintonista Collusion with the Russians” from day one of “Dossiergate”.

Mueller is a legend in his own mind, but so far I haven’t seen much to give him even the status of “job well done” at anything. His ignoring, by stupidity, cupidity, blindness or design, of what Obama did with “Laborov” the Russian Foreign Minister”, the secret acts of treason with Iran, the cowardice over the Red Line in Syria, security risks on his White House team/advisors/staff, and his open embrace of Castro, would be enough have him fired for “dereliction of duty” and “political collusion/corruption with the Clintons and Obama”, if not actually fired for sheer incompetence, coverups and lying about everything he had his dirty fingers in.

Time to subpoena Weissman, McCabe (if he hasn’t been already), and eventually Mueller, to answer questions in Executive Session, as to why they did nothing about the Obama/Clinton corrupt crime family and treasonous acts from 2009 thru 2016.

I have a gut feeling that there is much more out there about Mueller’s machinations that people haven’t heard about or even thought about, but his manner of operating stinks to high heaven. Somewhere along the line, Congress has to ask Mueller about his varied “collusions” with America’s domestic enemies, political crooks, foreign agents, and the Democrat Party.

If you look like a skunk, smell like a skunk, and walk like a skunk, you’re either a skunk, a Democrat Party ally, or both.

The stench is overwhelming out of the Mueller, Weissman, McCabe, and Rosenstein nest of weasels and rodents. Time to shake the bushes and see what kind of criminality falls out.

The investigation will go on as long as Trump is president. Mueller needs it to continue for manipulative purposes.

Mueller can’t quit or Trump can fire Sessions and Rosenstein. Mueller will be around for years.

Mueller has discussed scenarios for winding down at least some of his office’s work in the coming months, the people said, emphasizing that the special counsel views his primary responsibility to be investigating – not necessarily prosecuting – any wrongdoing linked to the Russian interference efforts.

In other words, Mueller is trying to set up a scenario where he is extricate himself and is buddies from the decision to drop the charges.

Seems like he’s just doing “routine FBI/DOJ work now”. There’s nothing “special” about 10-year old wire fraud and Russian hacking.

Congress should demand to see SOME/ANY evidence Mueller already has that the investigation can’t be turned over to a part of the government with limited power and oversight of elected representatives.

Claiming that intimidating witnesses MAY lead to an impeachable offense is not justification for a special prosecutor. A year ago they still had evidence to review. At this point, that is done and intimidation is all they have left.
