STEPHEN F. COHEN: The reaction by most of the media, by the Democrats, by the anti-Trump people is like mob violence. I've never seen anything like it in my life. This is the president of the United States, doing what every other president before him, since FDR in 1943 with Stalin, meeting with the head of the Kremlin. And something that every American president since Eisenhower, a Republican by the way, has met with the leader of the Kremlin for one existential purpose: To avoid war between the nuclear superpowers.
Today, in my considered and scholarly long time judgment, relations between the U.S. and Russia are more dangerous than they have ever been. Let me repeat: Every been, including the Cuban missile crisis.

Given that Russia has booted the Bolsheviks from their nation, are accepting Christianity, are mostly White and have secured their borders, they therefore must be destroyed. This is not in keeping with the new global order. At some level Cohen, as brilliant on this subject as he is, knows this.

Exactly. The mentally defective leftist media and otherwise have long ago decided President Trump can do nothing right so everything must be completely blown out proportion to make it seem like he is the worst person on the planet.
I would personally like to medically treat every single one of these mental defectives using an ice pick to perform their much needed frontal lobotomy's.

Cohen is a rare voice of sanity - and one of the last members of a dying breed - a sane, patriotic, liberal.
He is also the #1 expert on Russia, which he has studied his entire life. (And yes, I believe he speaks Russian fluently - which is an indespensible prerequisite for anyone seeking to truly understand a foreign culture and nation. ANY “expert” on another power who is not fluent in its language needs to be taken with a grain of salt. As a past military interpreter, I can vouch for that.)
He may be brilliant and a liberal and a Russian expert but he clearly NOT a Trump expert. He should study Trump a little harder...he might be surprised at what says and then does...and they often times don’t seem to be connected but low and behold in the final analysis he has made his point and the other side capitulated.
Cohen does not impress me. His agenda might be interesting to know, however.
