Apparently, people working for the Democrats have no clue how candidates have traditionally won office. They say what will get them elected, and then do whatever their agenda is when the are in office. That’s just the way it is. Forcing a candidate to commit to an unpopular, election killing statement is stupid. The whole trick to politics is to state things in a way that somebody who believes in X will think you support it while somebody who hates X believes you are against it. For a good example, read anything a Kennedy said...any Kennedy at any time.
