The White House said Wednesday that President Trump would consider whether to allow Russian prosecutors to interview onetime U.S. ambassador to Moscow Michael McFaul and other Americans in connection with criminal claims against Bill Browder, a prominent critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On Wednesday, Sanders said there "was some conversation" between Trump and Putin at their Monday summit about Russia's request, "but there wasn’t a commitment made on behalf of the United States and the president will work with his team and we’ll let you know if there’s an announcement on that front."

Hours later, Browder told Fox News' "The Story" that Sanders' statement was "absolutely appalling and ridiculous. The idea that the White House and Donald Trump would be considering handing these people over and me over to the Russians is just appalling," Browder told anchor Martha MacCallum. "It's effectively treason to hand over patriotic people who’ve been trying to do the right thing, and they'd better come out quickly and walk that one back. Otherwise, this is truly a litmus test for the Trump administration."

The Russians want to question Michael McFaul. But McFaul wasn’t just some businessman on a junket to Moscow. He was the US ambassador!!!
If Obama had let, say, the Chinese interview (interrogate) our ambassador to Beijing, everyone here would be screaming. And rightly so. Except in extremely limited circumstances, foreign nations should not be able to question US officials.
But Browder is another matter. He renounced his US citizenship and became a UK citizen. Deport him to the UK and let the British sort it all out.
Shannon Bream started out her show tonight saying Trump was thinking about letting Russians interview 12 Americans, Other than Dobbs, Hannity, Carlson and Pirro, there are no conservatives on Fox. The rest of the reporters are liberals.
For those who want to actually know what Putin is trying to do to Browder you need to read his book “Red Notice”. Browder legally made $1.5B trading oil stocks before they exploded in value after the fall of the Soviet Union. When Putin found out that a Jewish foreigner had the audacity to do this in his mother Russia he tried to steal it back from the Hermitage fund. When Browder got wind of this he liquidated the fund and paid back his investors. So Putin did the next best thing and stole the corporate seals from Hermitage so he could create a fraud in its name and frame Browder for the crime. Sergei Magnitsky was the Hermitage lawyer who refused to lie about the fraud and ended up dead. Which is what Browder will end up if the WH is stupid enough to go along with Putin’s cynical trick.
That’s what I, family members, friends and several FRiends here are trying to figure out....why on God’s green Earth give so much freaking air time to your (not really) competition??

If Trump would stand on his hind legs as he does on other issues, the cleansing would be easy. He does run it legally and constitutionally and they cannot stop that.
I don’t think you understand what Putin proposed. He said that Russians could observe the questioning of Browder and others but in the US, not in Russia. Sure, Putin would like to extradite Browder but that won’t happen.

But the request has to do with U.S. intelligence personnel who allegedly facilitated the transfer of the cash out of Russia.
