Just tell the EU we will not allow anything into or out of port and customs will detain and confiscate everything currently docked or in US waters. Now that’s an Auto Ban on Importation the American people will love. Then destroy their cars, parts, and sink their ships to make new barrier reefs.

They could lower their tariffs and Trump will lower ours. They have offered to eliminate tariffs on vehicles imported from the U.S. if the U.S. will do the same. That would include the 25% tariff we have on imported light trucks and SUVs. Detroit would not sit still for that.

So the EU is readying tariffs on autos that most Americans can’t buy due to price anyway. Big deal. And their “retaliation” is going to hurt the 6 million EU workers. Nost of these automakers already have plants in the U.S., and will probably shift more production here. Fine with me. Sucks for workers in the EU collective though
