.after racially charged article he wrote about 'Uncle Toms' as a student at Stanford emerges
...Bounds has said that the writings are 25-year-old editorials and that he has since grown up, calling them 'poorly-worded', 'ill-conceived' and 'regreetable'. Here are some of the charges leveled by AFJ: Bounds complained about multicultural organizations at the university who 'divide up by race for their feel-good ethnic hoedowns.' Bounds wrote that 'race-focused groups' should not continue on campus, claiming that the 'existence of ethnic organizations is no inevitable prerequisite to maintaining a diverse communitywhite students, after all, seem to be doing all right without an Aryan Student Union.' Bounds claimed that there were communities on campus who believed that the 'opponent is the white male and his coterie of meanspirited lackeys: 'oreos,' 'twinkies,' 'coconuts,' and the like.' Similarly, Bounds accused campus 'race-thinkers' of denigrating African-Americans as 'oreos,' 'Uncle Toms' or 'sell-outs' if they rejected 'victimhood status.'

PC run amok.
Prelude to Kavanaugh. Just as Jeff Sessions was a prelude to Bork.
Let’s go back 30 years ago when some of these Congressmen were in college and find some of the things they said and impeach them.
no joke!

I couldn’t find anything I disagreed with. He would have made a great judge.
What did he say that was untrue? Why are whites held to a different standard?
I will add that whites need to get up off their knees.
McCarthyism was nothing compared to today’s PC fascism of the left.
so to point out the view of the left even 25 years ago is considered academically incorrect !
ridiculous.
> What did he say that was untrue?
That’s the problem. He told the truth. Nothing is more offensive than the truth.
He said a lot of good things there. Wise man.
Doesn’t matter how long it’s been.....what he said was true. For over fifty years blacks jave been given special treatment...it’s time to end it!!!!
That is an authentic newspaper article right? I’ve been looking for it but I thought it was written when 0 became a Senator.
Republicans are still scared to death of being labeled racist (Marco Rubio).
My grandchildren call each other racist when they are on the losing end of an argument having nothing to do with race. This is what our public school system has wrought.
Our country is truly insane. This man said nothing wrong and merely spoke the truth. The same thing with papa johns and these kids at the bakery (http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2018/07/our-country-is-insane.php). This is happening all too often now and continuing under a Republican Congress and presidency. We are losing the culture war big time. I shudder to think what will if the left takes over branches of government.
Rubio is one of the biggest disappointments for me. He and Scott were the ones that threw this vote - read about it here - http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2018/07/tim-scott-and-marco-rubio-sink-stellar-judicial-nominee.php
