Gallup survey: 36 issues mentioned, not one of them is climate change

According to a survey published by Gallup, there are 36 economic and non-economic issues on the minds of Americans.

No one mentioned climate change.

As you might expect, economic issues were in the forefront of the voters' minds. But there are some interesting results nonetheless:

This is one of the most interesting polls I have ever seen because it shows the disconnect between the MSM and the public. It also shows that all the hysteria about Trump is unlikely to have much influence in the pending election because people do not care about the Russia narrative and the issues they do care about are those where he polls best.

I have never had more friends and acquaintances in my life tell me that they are tuning out the news or taking it in very small doses.

That's me. I dropped cable TV about seven years ago. I used to listen to talk radio during the day while I worked but over the past few months I find I keep music on all day.

I find with FR and a few other places I keep basically (emphasis on basically) informed without the exhausting treadmill that is cable news and, although there are talk radio hosts I truly like, the sometimes tiring rehash of talk radio (which too often just reacts to the MSM).

1998-2008 I used to do open ended polls with voters in the summer to find out who my friends would be, and who was persuadable in November.

Consistentlhy 1998-2008 Education was listed as the #1 problem. Nobody agreed on the solution. But they agreed on the problem. Pre-2008 immigration was not a concern of the general public. Then to my shagrin, and the shagrin of many other “conservatives” it emerged to be a major populist issue.
