Sessions recuses himself forno reason. Rosenstein refuses to appropriately recuse himself.

Trump needs to fire them both — the tortoise and the Weasel.

Rosenstein is an arrogant and unaccountable bureaucrat but he gets away with it. Its really quite amazing to watch someone flaunt his power and abuse it like he does. He defies congress and the president has no control whatsoever over him.

I hate to say it but he’s kind of unique in American history (in a bad way). Something is obviously very wrong here.

*************

There’s a mountain of reasons to fire Rosenstein, and at this point the public would support it, but Trump still will not do it. He let’s this scoundrel do whatever he wants.

Trump’s failure to fire him is sending the WRONG MESSAGE to the rest of the DC Swamp rats. Instead, its time to make an example of him and restore accountability back into the executive branch.

Good thing that we have a hard charging AG and loyal DOJ and FBI!...No, we don’t have any of that.

Did a Judge actually issued orders to the DOJ to release the applications? Yes, Fitton, from Judicial Watch got a judge to order a release. You can keep up to date by following the President's tweets.

I agree. The FISA judges knew it was all bogus. That is the missing part to this so far.

It's not Trump's job to send messages to swamp rats. For one thing 90% of the senior staff is part of the swamp and are not going anywhere (can't be fired, etc). Trump's job is MAGA. In his spare time he can do cleanup if it is low cost.

The only people who need messaging are independent voters who are deceived by the media. Firing Rosenstein doesn't do much for that.

***************

Like any executive, its Trump’s job to set the tone, set the direction, and set an example for ethical leadership and accountability. Like the captain of a ship, he is responsible for his “vessel”.

Rosenstein and his ilk are destroying what’s left of people’s faith in our government. Again, its Trump’s job as president of the United States, if not one of his highest priorities, to ensure the integrity, accountability, and ethical standards of the executive branch which HE HEADS. If we don’t care about this, something is terribly wrong. What’s the point of allowing our government to deteriorate, abuse its power, and become dysfunctional? I just don’t see why anyone would be OK with that.

Lest you forget, Trump was the one who promised (countless times) to drain the Swamp. We’re just holding him to his own words.

We don’t know why but the evil little prick seems untouchable there’s been more than enough cause to get rid of him for a long time, yet..

Charge him with treason anyway.

Remember what we have been told by the lefties for years - “It's not the evidence that matters, it is the seriousness of the charges”

Sounds like fair play to me...:^)

No they're not. Average guy on the street doesn't know who Rosenstein is. Of course something is terribly wrong, and it's not going to change until the final collapse. Everyone hates congress and reelects their congresscritter. Congress is the only body that can fix the mess but they are mostly making it worse by expanding the bureaucracy.

Lest you forget, Trump was the one who promised (countless times) to drain the Swamp. We’re just holding him to his own words.

I know but there are more important promises that he is focussed on like securing the border, ensuring fair trade, cutting regulations and taxes, etc. He has kept those and I expect he will do his best to keep all of his promises in due time. But I want to give him time, most of all because Trump respects the Constitution and law. Given a choice of many years of investigation or a frog march (that will end with acquittal of some big name) he will choose the investigation.

In short if you expect one man to clean up the mess that Congress has created then you will end up with Pinochet.

Its worse than a mess. Far worse. We are effectively living in, and subsidizing, a police state being run by an unaccountable AND POLITICIZED fourth branch of government. None of these people are elected, yet they are exercising enormous power, and abusing it. Every American should be deeply concerned about this, and what its leading to in terms of losing our liberties.

Congress is unwilling to clean up anything. And they are a separate branch of government. They are a bunch of feckless opportunists who are only out for themselves. So, it falls on the president to clean up his own house to the extent that he can. It is imperative that he protect us against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. That’s his job.

Make no mistake about it. Rogue agencies and the corrupt bureaucrats who are running them are becoming an existential threat to our Republic. Remember, they almost took it all away from us. This is no time for politics; its time for action.

I once thought that a weaponized IRS targeting conservative groups was a frightening development. But little did I know that it would pale in comparison to the defiance, arrogance, corruption, and police state tactics of some of our most trusted agencies.

I think we both share similar concerns but we differ on how to deal with it. I believe that corrosive problems tend to get worse if not dealt with. Trump has plenty of justification by now for cleaning house and declassifying documents. The American people trust him and would welcome decisive action on his part to remove the rat’s nest and restore integrity back into our most trusted agencies.
