“Ah, Kaitlan, you acted like an @$$ today, and you are no longer invited until you can grow up...”

Honestly, I support fully banning CNN from all Whitehouse related events.

The press has countless platforms and venues from which to launch their smears and slander against the POTUS, totally protected by the 1st amendment and under the umbrella of a free press.

There is no reason why the POTUS needs to invite them into his home to do it. Yes, the White House is more than a private home, but it is a home nonetheless and as such it should afford the President and his family a minimum of respect and decency from those invited to enter, and a respite from vile and hateful taunts and smears.

I think the entire press core should all be kicked out of the White House. A camera feed for publicized events would be more than sufficient fir the public to enjoy access to ceremonies, announcements, etc. but there is absolutely under no obligation to invite agreeing frenzy of rhetorical “questions” and or to accommodate a permanent tent city on the White House lawn teeming with rude advocates for the adversarial Left.

It’s not a question of free press or public access - there is plenty of that elsewhere.

I am convinced that she didn’t ASK questions. She SHOUTED them in the Oval Office.

The current methods of shouting questions like a mob isn’t sitting well with anyone in the White House, and I don’t blame them.

Instinctively was the wrong word. Knee jerk describes your negative responses to your president, Donald Trump.

I have no issue with a principled, thoughtful distrust of President Trump or even principled, thoughtful opposition of him at times. I’d be a hypocrite if I opposed such. But the Never Trumpers are not principled or thoughtful in their opposition. They are of the spirit of Ahab and their hatred of President Trump is devilish and irrational. You “smell” like a Never Trumper.

Unfortunately for your argument I didn't say anything critical of DJT.

I said I don't think it's inappropriate for the press to ask our leaders about the issues of the day.

Trump made Cohen a current issue by tweeting about him that morning.

I don't think our presidents - no matter who they are - should control what questions they're asked.

They can answer the question or not - their choice - but it's the role of the press to ask questions.

Not changing my opinion about how our system should work just because Trump is president isn't being anti-Trump.

They certainly have the right not to answer, but dictating what questions can be asked of our elected leaders is bush league.

It's not a matter of 'dictating' what questions a reporter can ask, it's a matter of accepting responsibility for rude and disrespectful behavior.

The 'left' demands 'freedom of speech', but does not want 'responsibility' for anything they say.

Doesn’t matter when semimojoe has a chance to support Trump haters with oh-so-reasonable sounding BS.

That is why this is a debate forum. It helps to have two sides to a debate. Otherwise this is all just a feel good sounding board.

I don't mind when people present logical arguments and questions. It gives me a chance to present counter arguments.

I would be upset if I could not provide any counter arguments to his 'oh-so-reasonable sounding BS'.

I agree with you. Which is why I spoke to his BS, rather than calling for him to be banned.
