NEW YORK (AP) -- This time, Conor McGregor didn't put up a fight. The mixed martial arts star pleaded guilty on Thursday to disorderly conduct and will perform five days of community service to resolve charges stemming from a backstage melee at a New York City arena in which he was caught on camera hurling a hand truck at a bus full of fighters.

Two different standards of justice, one formthe rich and powerful, the other more severe for the ordinary Joe. Sentence is an outrage.

Also they give him a clean record while sentencing him, barring violations.

At least he didn't hurl a bus against a hand truck full of fighters. I think that would be going too far.

He’ll end up broke after being sued for assaulting someone and causing permanent physical damage.

He’ll end up on the Weekend pro wrestling circuit that runs through Topeka and Shreveport.

Nonsense. I plead clients facing the same types of charges to similar deals every day if they they have no criminal history. This is pretty much the standard deal and I predicted this would be the outcome the day after the day incident happened.

Do you dispute this in all cases, or just this case?

I’m not sure what you are asking but this is a pretty standard first offender deal for anyone.

You don’t understand?

Do ya believe there are two different standards of justice, one for the rich, powerful who are represented by well connected, highly qualified legal teams and different standard for Joe Sixpack with little or no dollars and a public defender?

Dude intentionally came here to cause violence. On a visa. He committed such acts and now will have a clean record after probation. Outrageous. He should have been instantly deported.

Another example of our joke legal system.

Of course. Affluent people can afford better lawyers just like they can afford nicer cars, bigger houses, better colleges and all the other trappings that go with wealth. That’s the way the world has always worked and it’s not exactly breaking news. But in this case Conner got the same deal any other first offender would have gotten under similar circumstances, even if they had a public defender.

Well, that’s why I initially asked ya, “Do you dispute this in all cases, or just this case?”

And regarding your comment, “This is they way the world works”, that don’t make it right, fair or just. Which pretty much makes our legal system a farce.

Show me a legal system in any time or place in history that was different in this regard. You’ve got to live in reality not fantasy.

My comment has zip to do with comparisons and where I live has nothing to do with my comments/questions to you.

So you agree, there is a double standard in our justice system and those with little means are often left twisting in the wind, ruined and looted while the wealthy and powerful often skate on influence, power and wealth.
