Wow. It sounds like what liberals do when they want to shut someone down - call them a racist, bigot, Nazi, xenophobe, etc. I have not really seen that on FR. I do remember, however, the Rudy purge. I was new to reading FR at the time. I couldn’t support him for President because he was supportive of abortion. I recall that was a motivation for Jim at the time too as he said that was a deal breaker. The fights over Rudy’s campaign led to people being banned. Ironically, I like Rudy a lot more now than I did then and think he’d make a good AG (still couldn’t support him for President b/c of abortion).
I would say I think FR is more conservative now than it used to be.
