Yep, the swaggering wankers who think that the badge gives them license to do whatever the hell they feel like doing.
My dad went missing approximately 2010 or 2011. He drove my mom to the hospital just up the road and couldn’t find his way home. He had dementia. I had to call the Aurora police to make a report. Two Aurora cops came to my home. One was very nice. But one was big and mean looking and was using the eff word very angrily about his radio doing something he didn’t like. I felt very intimidated by him and got some bad very vibes.
That same behavior (regarding allowing the injured to bleed out) on the part of law enforcement is why the defense has still to this day not recieved all of the discovery information to which they are entitled regarding Waco, and why there will therefore never be any convictions.
“Unfortunately police are NEVER held accountable to the same standards as non police are held.”
Correct. They are held to a higher standard. They are second guesses, investigated, questioned and held to account by the chain of command.
“Something is telling me that this officer is one of those roided-up cops. We all know the ones.”
Something is telling me? What a basis to accuse someone. Do lay out all the facts. Did you get a traffic ticket recently?
Yes. Illegal steroids. While incarcerating kids with pot.
One way to get rid of these roid-head cops is to band together as homeowners and attend city council meetings. Direct your concerns to the mayor or city manager or police chief.
Please, by all means, read the article. This is the second shooting by this officer within two months.
Never call the cops to your home unless you need to have your dog put down.
So this incident isn't exactly "as common as dirt." The number of people killed by police, including those who deserved it, is statistically miniscule out of a population of 320 million.
I agree that police officers who do make questionable or worse decisions should be held more liable than they frequently seem to be, but to say that all cops are "thugs" or trigger-happy is a misrepresentation.
I wish you had reported this nutbag to his superiors.
A cop should not be using the “eff” word in front of the citizens, especially in front of a woman.
Whatever. Cops are not even in the top most dangerous occupation list. https://www.google.com/amp/amp.timeinc.net/time/5074471/most-dangerous-jobs
So let’s stop calling them heroes. Let’s stop making excuses. Give your statistics to the family of this gentleman shot inside his home while defending his grandbabies. Your apologetics, your jedi mind tricks don’t change anything about my opinion.

Oh my!
Our system is so fouled up.
Scumbag cops.
It’s a mess.
I hope the surviving family is safe from that feral’s family and homies.
More than one shot Mr. Black?
This shoot looks rotten as hell but you can post your knee-jerk cop hatred to someone else.
“In many cases, an individual shot by an officer will be left to bleed out, even without applying first aid.”
This is because wrongful death settlements are typically much lower than settlements with survivors who have to deal with permanent injuries and disabilities, not to mention they get all mouthy about their civil rights.
Who the hell knows? These scumbag POS thugs with badges never tell the truth. They'll lie through their teeth to protect their own. To hell with all of them.
And here's some news for you. We ain't in Mayberry anymore. We're all the enemy. You, me, Mr. Black, Dajon Harper... If you ain't wearing a badge, you're a "civilian" to these licensed murderers.
And here’s some news for you. You’re an idiot!
