Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) on Sunday suggested that President Donald Trump appeared at a campaign rally in his state on Saturday without a direct invitation from the House candidate he came to tout.
Kasich, speaking on ABC’s “This Week,” said he asked state Sen. Troy Balderson, the Republican candidate for a U.S. House seat in a Tuesday special election, point blank why he invited Trump to campaign for him at his event in Delaware County.
“I asked him the other day, ‘Why are you bringing Trump in,’ said Kasich, who has been one of the GOP’s harshest critics of the president. Kasich said Balderson told him, “Well, I don’t have anything to do with it.”

My guess is no.
Balderson wants to win this seat, and Kasich would have tanked any chance.
I call BS on this one.
If Balderson DIDN'T want the President to campaign for him, he would have not shown up to his own rally, or told POTUS, thanks but no thanks.
Trump has better things to do than campaign for an ingrate.

Sounds to me like Balderson was trying to avoid responding to Kasich. I would not if I were he. Kasich isn’t anyone I would want to spend any time conversing with as he’s entirely to flakey.
Those who know more from the Buckeye State please comment. From the outside Balderson appears to be another GOP limp noodle candidate with no real belief's and the personality of an armadillo.

Trump won Ohio by 8 points. Apparently, Kasich does not want Balderson to win. Seriously, who would complain about the President coming to a rally during an election run??? Only John Kasich.

Occam’s razor would indicate that Kasich is just being the douche he always has been, and that Balderson is blameless in this.

It’s not a bad thing. As Kasich solidifies his status as an unpredictable Judas, his minuscule influence on the national GOP will now infect his state level pull.
Kasich is acting like a kid whose girlfriend danced with someone else at the prom. He’s obviously doing this to punish Balderson and make him lose.
It was a Trump rally with quite a few OH pols who support Trump in attendance. How many people would’ve showed up on a hot Saturday night to rally for an obscure HOR candidate?
