The West Virginia House Judiciary Committee has introduced 14 articles of impeachment against all four remaining Justices of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia.
Most of the impeachment articles deal with the massive and unchecked spending of nearly $4,000,000 on building renovations and lavish office furnishings such as a $32,000 blue suede couch in the office of suspended Justice Allen Loughry.

OTOH, if the impeachment proceedings take time, Governor Jim Justice will get to appoint *the entire court.*
Going to be interesting to see how this turns out.
(D)?.............................
That must be a pretty nice couch for 32K.
Criminals in black robes. Sheesh! What ever happened to integrity, honor and responsible behavior???
For interviewing "law clerks"?
I have had only four new pieces of furniture in my entire life. I am 64. I think my house looks pretty nice. The most costly was a sofa and recliner I bought for $1500 in 1985. Still in use and looking good.
I wish the PA Supreme Court would buy a $32,000 suede couch. We need an excuse to get rid of those Leftist dingbats.
WOW
Governor Justice was elected as (D), switched parties to (R). He did so during a visit by President Trump.
Much intrigue surrounding the people advising the Governor. IMO, also a bit of disarray in the WV GOP. Nothing that can’t be pulled together, mind you. But coming into the Labor Day stretch run before the November elections, things need to happen sooner rather than later.
For some reason it reminds me of Columbo and shoes.
Lt. Columbo: Uh, sir?
Walter Cunnell: Yes?
Lt. Columbo: You don’t mind if I ask you a personal question, do you?
Walter Cunnell: No.
Lt. Columbo: What’d you pay for those shoes?
Walter Cunnell: I think about 60 dollars.
Lt. Columbo: I stepped into some water yesterday and ruined mine. You don’t know where I could find a pair that looks like that for around 16 or 17?
Walter Cunnell: 16 or 17? Sorry, I don’t really, Lieutenant.
Lt. Columbo: Thank you.
SC in WV is elected. appointments if they happen would be short term
(R)......but in WV, party affiliation is often a matter of convenience. The UniParty rules!
Walker and Loughry are republicans, Davis and Workman are democrats. They are elected, not appointed.
Yeah, who the hell do they think they are? Congressmen?
Well you can hand me money
In a plain brown pouch
Buy me thousand dollar hookers
Cause I ain’t no slouch
Do anything
If you want to vouch
But uh-uh honey
Stay off of my couch
Now don’t you
Sit on my blue suede couch
You can do anything
But stay off of my blue suede couch.
My Mrs has a 12-year rule. Upon reaching ‘maturity’, in her mind....it has to go. Luckily, she has not pressed on that rule with my clothing (I still have clothing from 1985).
Did you hear the one about the female majority supreme court wanting to refurnish the office? :)
Surely it matches the drapes?
