U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has asked President Donald Trump to come to Texas to campaign for him.
During a campaign stop in Seguin late Monday, Cruz said he has reached out to his former rival for the White House to help him with his re-election effort against Democrat Beto O’Rourke.
“I would certainly welcome his support and I hope to see him in Texas,” Cruz said, standing outside the Dixie Grill in Seguin. “I think we are likely to see the president down in Texas before the election.”
Cruz said while his relationship with Trump has had its “ups and downs” due to their 2016 GOP primary battle, he has tried to become an ally to the President. He said he has been in constant contact with the White House and Trump directly to offer his help in getting legislation through the Senate.

Cruz has supported the President’s agenda pretty well. He’s a good guy, hopefully he’s learning a few things from Trump. He’s asking for Trump’s help and not Glenn Beck’s, LOL that’s a good thing!

Let’s move beyond the brouhaha. We have an enemy to defeat. Trump knows what’s at stake and won’t be petty. He’ll bring Cruz into the MAGA tent and Cruz will owe him.
It certainly wasn't Cruz' finest hour. Trump proved that Cruz did not have the mental toughness to run for President. He has a "glass jaw". First came the rumors of cheating on his wife, which were hurtful enough, but then came the nonsense that Cruz' father took part in the JFK Assassination. Cruz was so blinded by rage, he was incoherent.
It also proved there was no place that was too low for Donald Trump to go during a campaign. Which was a good thing because that was needed when campaigning against Hillary Clinton.
I also think the headline for this story is misleading at best. Cruz didn't say he invited Trump to campaign for him. It would imply that Cruz needs his help to win the Senate race in Texas, which is what the lib reporter wants us to think.
Cruz said he invited Trump to "come to Texas" because he can help GOP candidates all up and down the ballot. Cruz will beat Open Borders Beto hands down. Only the Left has this fantasy with weighted polls that O'Roarke gets anywhere near Cruz in November.
Cruz wins easily without Trump's help but he's not going to stand in the way if Trump wants to help out other Republicans in various Texas races.

Lyn’ Ted has not been reliable. Mark my words, he will again stab Trump in the back, whether on Obamacare, amnesty, or something. Trump should support him, then after elected appoint him ambassador to some sh1th013 country and let Abbott appoint a Trump Republican to fill that seat.
Mess with the bull ya get the horns. Cruz simply didn't seem to have the political perception to figure it out.

Owe him for what? Helping him keep his Senate seat to avoid the commie democrats from taking the majority of the congress thereby keeping Trump safe from getting impeached and removed from office on the very first working day of the new Congress by the commie rats? Furthermore Trump is going to need all the Allies he can get because God forbid one Willard Mitt Romney, wins his race out in Utah thereby by making him be the new deofacto Senate majority leader should the GOP retain which will bring about a civil war in party in which the likes we’ve never see. So you might want ease up and quit gloating about who owes who.

Ted Cruz is a stinking little degenerate who should be exiled to Canuckistan, his place of origin. But I would only support his removal via a primary. There's no way we can let that Beto creep into the senate, not in Texas.
Assume is a lawyer way of saying that, based on what he knows now, without looking into it, Trump would get his support. But upon reflection, an assumption can be contradicted.
