Kris Kobach, whose mentor is Samuel P. Huntington.

Samuel P. Huntington argued that future wars would be fought not between countries, but between cultures, and that Islamic extremism would become the biggest threat to world peace.

Huntington is the author of the essay, then book, ‘Clash of Civilizations’, the realist answer to Francis Fukuyama’s goofy, utopian ‘End of History’ that addled the brains of neocons and GW Bush.

He is also the author of Who Are We--The Challenges to America's National Identity that I have at this moment in my hands. It is a great analysis of the American Identity and how it came about. And the challenges we now face as non-Hispanic whites decline in numbers and eventually, influence. If whites develop their own identity in response to blacks and Hispanics identifying themselves based on race or ethnicity, the fabric of the society starts to unravel.

The book was written in 2004. I wonder what Professor Huntington would say now about the Balkanization of America along cultural, racial, ethnic, and linguistic lines? The Democrats with their exploitation of identity/tribal politics are playing with fire.
