When I was much younger my dad, brother and I went to Butch’s Gun Shop in Seattle. My brother asked if the Glock was made of plastic. One of the clerks took the slide off and asked “does this look like plastic?” I learned early on that when the subject was guns, the national news would go out of its way to get everything wrong.
When die hard 2 came out, i was 10.
I believed it for the night, then the next day found out about the glock handgun. While never owning one, my dad laughed at the thought of a plastic barrel.
When the Glock came out, the media covered themselves in sh*t as they deliberately spread lies and misinformation.
It was a lesson in the future of media relations that no thinking shooter will ever forget.
