Cat-calling is purely a Hollywood invention. It's basically a two-note whistle that sexist men (especially construction workers and truck drivers) supposedly whistle at pretty women who walk by. This was featured in movies, cartoons and commercials during especially the 1960s and 1970s.
Almost nobody would actually do this in real-life.
There is nearly a 100% chance that any feminist complaining about "cat calls" was never actually the recipient of a cat-call.
