Factors contributing to their success:
Mostly a monoculture. It's an Afrikaner ethnostate, which is more specific than just a white ethnostate.
They regulate who gets to live there. Although it's a monoculture, they welcome people of all income levels; but applicants must be self-supporting (have a job or investment savings to live off of).
It's a community, not just a set of individuals living in some area.
High-tech perimeter security.
They do everything themselves. They don't bring in cheap labor.
This last point is a counter to the claim that a modern white civilization must inevitably fall apart without cheap imported workers who are culturally incompatible.

Having said (and believing) that, I’ve not heard of this Orania place, nor seen the video referenced.
But virtue signaling til the cows come home can’t argue against the fact of its working as advertised, if such is the case.
Absent a shared and respected history, core values, and general underlying trust among its members, societal multiculturalism is destined for failure.

Where in the world has ever a true and free multicultural society thrived? Someday we may have to face the fact that multiculturalism is fundamentally incompatible with human nature.
I recall that Eric Holder changed the way Hispanics are counted. If they are considered the victim, they are counted as Hispanics. If they are considered the criminal, they are counted as whites.
A good example of this in miniature is the way George Zimmerman was treated in the media. When I first read of the case, before it got national attention, I saw a picture of Zimmerman. I assumed he was the "black teen" that had been shot.
