In both cases, the systematic oppression and routine humiliation were to push the unbelievers to convert and keep the believers apart from the unbelievers.
If you never hear the contrary viewpoints in public, you won’t waver in the faith. If you can’t respect or do more than bare superficial interactions with the unbeliever, and you despise/hate them the whole time, there is certainly never a friendship that could bridge the divide.
Hate speech is simply liberals’ blasphemy laws. Utter words, even facts, contrary to sacred dogma and they shall hunt you down and put the fear of God into you. They will scorch the Earth and make all tremble in fear of ever deviating from doctrine.

I’m no fan of Mr. Sessions, so I don’t really feel any sympathy for Sessions as some “victim” here.
He’s hurting the President of the United States Donald Trump just as much as the left-wing zealots who are offended by the picture.
Here in Houston, the owner was interviewed by a local radio talk show host (Michael Berry) and said the left was making death threats toward his family.
The left is freaking insane.
He didn’t invite Sessions to the restaurant and he didn’t throw him out. Secret Service paid a visit and said they couldn’t tell him who was coming. He wanted the photo of a notable diner to go to his social media page.
socialist networkers verbally harassed him, his family, and his staff. They also directed death threats against him and his family.
He did a radio interview with Michael Berry today.
Feel anything for the restaurant owner who’s been harassed for serving Sessions and posing with him for a photo for the restaurant’s website?
