Follow the money trail.
Who in government stands to gain by their installation?
Tom the Son says he hates the grain-grinding windmills and the water-pumping windmills but he’s okay with the electricity-generating windmills.
Big statism. Nothing more.
President Donald Trump (I love typing those words!) speaks truth to power again.
“Require much maintenance.”
That’s a long way to climb if you just want to change the oil.
They are quite the blight on the landscape, look at southern CA.
Flying over the Midwest a few years ago we were astounded to see miles and miles and miles of these things...ugly eyesores dotting the landscape. Never knew there were so many. Most of them were not even turning.
Well I’m a huge fan of raptors, and so I agree. DOWN WITH WINDMILLS.
haha
anyway, aren’t most leftist ideas always horrible??
Who wants to have energy when you need a subsidy?
Political donors and their politicians!
Everyone knows windmills are a scam.. when you add up their manufacture transport and installation costs they dont even produce enough energy to make money over their typical life expectancy. Its a complete scam

Perfect word SCAM. That is exactly what they are.
They sure are pretty at night when the lights on top of them all blink in unison
Too expensive and dangerous to tear down.
Because somebody is getting filthy rich off these things, mostly politicians!! If it were any other instance the left would be wettin’ their drawers about our precious birds dying for the evil capitalists!
In my state its a running joke that wind farms don’t so much farm the wind as farm the subsidies. When the state subsidies for windmills was about to expire last year the lobbyists for the wind industry raised holy hell with the legislature until they caved in to the pressure and extended the subsidies.
That $20 grand a year looks good but they may find they have made a bargain with the devil. In many locales here (not sure about Canada) there is no legal requirement for windmill owners to remove their worn-out windmills when the time comes. They can just walk away. Guess who gets stuck with the bill for hauling away the junk? Those landowners had better not have spent that money. They may need it for cleaning up their land.
