West Virginia House Votes to Impeach Walker, Loughry, Davis & Workman

UPDATE (11:50 PM 8/13/18):

The West Virginia House of Delegates has impeached all four of the state's Supreme Court justices.

The Republican-led House on Monday night impeached Justice Beth Walker and the other justices for abusing their authority. The article says they failed to control office expenses and not maintaining policies over important matters such as working lunches, the use of state vehicles and office computers at home.

Walker was the last of the four justices to be impeached. She had avoided impeachment earlier when the House voted not to pass an article against her for $131,000 in renovations she made after taking office last year.

Suspended Justice Allen Loughry, Chief Justice Margaret Workman and Justice Robin Davis also were impeached.

Loughry was suspended earlier this year and has pleaded not guilty to a 23-count federal indictment.

Does impeachment remove them in WV or is there a next step?

#18. DOES anyone know how many West Virginia black citizens were killed by the Klan and affiliated groups while Byrd was Grand Cyclops etc?

Now that would make a great revelation towards getting his name off of everything, reduced in history books, and embarrassing the Democrats to the point that Joe Manchin could lose his Senate seat.

Someone make my dreams come true.

They actually covered the story this morning on Goodmorning America on ABC. They specifically brought up how much they spent on office remodeling. $8K on a desk chair. $32K on a sectional couch. Glass shelves, etc. The four judges spent hundreds of thousands of dollars remodeling their office space in one of the poorest states in the country.

One was elected as a Republican, one was elected after non-partisan elections started but is known to be a Republican.

The other 2 and the one that resigned beforehand are democrat scum. One has just quit so her position gets on the Nov ballot instead of being appointed by Governor Justice. Libtards are screaming this a plot by Justice and the GOP to take over the court.

I agree. Byrd was a true racist but only because he was a Democrat he gets a pass. Actually I oppose revising history for any reason or party. History is what it is and no one deserves the right to change it.

BTW I wish PA pols would have had the guts to expel its corrupt Supreme Court post the middle of the night pay raise for state workers and political hacks and judges back in 2002. REMEMBER THE PAYRAISE.

Damn good point that should be raised everytime a Columbus or Confederate statue is razed to the ground.

I’m glad the state legislature took action against these scum bags. I hope that whoever replaces them will uphold their oaths of office to the state and federal constitutions and not legislate from the bench via judicial supremacy.

A good start, but what we really need is federal judges impeached over judicial legislation — aka tyrannical usurpation of power:

“The Republican-led House on Monday night impeached Justice Beth Walker and the other justices for abusing their authority. The article says they failed to control office expenses and not maintaining policies over important matters such as working lunches, the use of state vehicles and office computers at home.”
