President Donald Trump's military parade is estimated to cost $92 million, according to a U.S. defense official with firsthand knowledge of the assessment.

An earlier estimate pegged the cost at $12 million.

The parade will take place in the nation's capital on Nov. 10 and will feature armored vehicles, aircraft flyovers and period uniforms.

Still cheaper than one of Obama’s vacations.

Just tack it onto the national debt, no one will ever notice. I love how money is only a concern when it’s something Trump want. Wall, Parade. Apparently there is endless funds for which hunts, housing illegals and ‘Piss’ art.

I think the new “estimate” includes incidentals such as military pay for the participants, for government security details that would be getting paid anyway and for fuel, etc., that is already in stock.

“Figures lie and liars figure.”

But special uniforms for when our military women are menstruating has to be the most ridiculous.

Did you just assume their genders?

..... Following the old rule that any governmental cost estimate will eventually cost around DOUBLE the estimated amount ... This sounds about right .....

Hmmmmmm, restaurants, bars, soda shoppes, coffee shops, assorted store will have to feed the crown. Souvenir shops will sell all sorts of paraphernalia, sounds like it will bring in lots of $$$ for the local economy? Of course there will also be those paid protestors by the bus load, to kill the popularity of it all and create a mess so the MSM can have a field day dissing the event.

I still want a Roman triumph. Trump in the middle on a golden chariot with a laurel crown, every crooked journalist, politician, and bureaucrat led naked and in chains to a grisly end at the foot of the Washington monument, their heads piled into a pyramid and the whole thing on pay per view. Heck, we'd ending up turning a profit.

But nobody listens to me.

The unnamed defense official is counting the fixed costs as variable. The personnel and equipment are already paid for.

Let’s start a rumor:

This is just a cover story to get the troops and tanks into the Capital, right after the election, to seize power.

92 million does not add up. Need to see the cost breakdown and what is being accounted as a cost to the parade.

I've never been a fan of showy military parades:

Ticker tape parades, YES.

Mr. President, NO to a Military parade, Yes to a ticker tape parade, that is true American....

The way I understand it, President Trump was inspired by France’s Bastille Day military review in Paris. They do this every year and seem to take pride in it. Don’t know how much it costs, but if France can pull this off, so can we. Veterans’ Day seems to be a good day to publicly show appreciation of our military.

“But there are costs involved in getting them from their assigned duty station to D.C. and then feeding and housing them for the duration of the set up, the practices, etc. plus the parade.”

I understand there are fixed costs and variable costs.

If the parade doesn’t happen won’t the military still have to feed the troops?

This number's overblown... they're counting the price of many things we already pay for ...

How much does it cost a General to coordinate a ‘tank’ display? In reality NOTHING because we pay him if he's sitting in his office or working on the parade. But ‘newies’ include that number to make it seem like we're wasting money. It's mostly BS... consider the source.

How much is fraudulent ‘disability’ costing us EVERY DAY?

More. Much more...
