One problem: national security classified info is NOT subject to "freedom of speech". When people get a security clearance they promise to guard the info and only release it on a need to know basis to others who also have the same level of clearance.

Brennan committed serious security violations, for which people normally go to jail. And he should too.

McRaven attended the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner as the guest of his fifth grade classmate, Karen Tumulty.

If your a former government employee. When you retire quit get fired etc you should lose your clearance period.. It cost to much money to maintain these for people no longer employed by the government. When I left Boeing I lost my TS and was debriefed. Had to sign a form.

Suppression of Brennan’s freedom of speech = Brennan will no longer be able to legally obtain info that he can leak in order to hurt the president and/or be well-compensated for.

On April 6, 2011, McRaven was nominated by President Barack Obama for promotion from the rank of Vice Admiral to Admiral:

Wonder what Brennan has on the Admiral? And didn’t Brennan get caught hacking staff computers of the Sebate Intelligence Committee? Yeh, he’s a real fine man.

Chits are being called in. Thumbscrews are being turned. Last resorts are being resorted to. Futures are being sacrificed to continue this a moment longer.

It’s been said many times here today but it sticks out like a sore thumb. HOW IN THE HELL IS SOMEONE’S RIGHT OF FREE SPEECH INFRINGED BY LOSING A WORK PRIVILEGE?

Brennan constructs a total straw man. Nothing that Trump did suppresses his freedom of speech in any way -,it merely limits his access to classified info, which is a not a right, but a privilege. And it’s even more of a privilege to FORMER federal intelligence agents whose need to know is hence greatly diminished.

So denying him that privilege is simply a presidential judgment call based on Brennan’s diminished need to know along with the adversarial public comments he frequently makes, as both of these factors are disqualifying for maintaining that privilege.

It’s not suppression. It’s not intimidation. It’s common sense, and Brennan is reacting like a two year old having a temper tantrum.

Remember, the week leading up to the “bin laden raid” in 2011, Donald Trump was beating obama over the head with his birth certificate. 2012 election was just around the corner, time to play the osama card.
That Sunday we hear of this so called raid to start a new news week, after which bin laden’s body within 16 hours was supposevley buried at sea.. What a Hollywood production

Right. The mere concept is absurd. You have no Constitutionally protected right to spew classified information to CNN, on CNN, or anywhere else.

The President would have been derelict not to strip Brennan’s clearance. He was blabbing to the media and sounding increasingly mentally ill.

Only the left is in high dudgeon about this. Normal Americans are trying to understand how anyone gets to keep their clearances after they leave their jobs.

From From Wikipedia it says, "William Harry McRaven (born November 6, 1955) is a retired United States Navy admiral who last served as the ninth commander of the United States Special Operations Command from August 8, 2011, to August 28, 2014. From 2015 to 2018, he was the chancellor of The University of Texas System."

While thanking him for his service to our country, by his simply being the chancellor of the Peoples Republic of Austin's Teasip's herd, make me suspect his objectivity where Brennan or any politics is concerned. He's left and loony to the max--

My dear old Pappy spoke of serving with World War Two Medal of Honor awardee "Commando" Kelly: "If we were in combat, I'd want him on my flank but out of action he was simply a thug that you could not trust."

Heroics on the battlefield is one thing. Being a good guy you can trust with your values with is another. I would give this Harry a salute while I turn my back to shame him for backing such scumbag a like John Brennan.

our military is being rapidly transformed into a anti-Christian, socialist welfare state. Officers at this level are often political yes men. The same ones who architect bombing runs on empty fields since WWII. How many times did we let laden go, so this could be properly architected for political power?
