One problem: national security classified info is NOT subject to "freedom of speech". When people get a security clearance they promise to guard the info and only release it on a need to know basis to others who also have the same level of clearance.

Brennan committed serious security violations, for which people normally go to jail. And he should too.

Typical top brass that doesn't put feet in the arena - "oversees" a mission where he sends real men out to do a job which makes him look good....

I remember when I retired and had all sorts of accolades for the accomplishments of my area be bandied about - I thanked them for the kind words then asked them to please acknowledge the folks who did the heavy lifting as all i did was help pave the road and keep obstructions from hindering their efforts. Most successful leaders are just effective secretaries who tend to the needs of the folks that do the actual work.

POTUS has a canny way of flushing out the Deep State rats. Sadly, some wear the military uniform, which proves the the infestation is very bad.

Brennan can continue flapping his foul yap on CNN or MSNBC, or getting his drivel published in the NYT all he wants. He hasn’t been muzzled. He doesn’t need, nor does he deserve to have a security clearance of any kind to be a talking head or scribbler.

As Commander in Chief President Trump can order this Admiral to command a fleet of canoes on a remote Alaskan river.

His job is to salute and say "Yes Sir!" Not trash his boss.

Clinton-McRaven in 2016?

...There are rumors that he could be positioning himself to be Hillary Clinton’s vice president.

I remember the outrage of the press when Jarrod's clearance was pulled. 😀

Oh, dear.... the admiral watched it all unfold while seated in his overstuffed chair.

Big deal.

There's a lot out there on McRaven.

He's not pristine by any measure.

Here are some articles on him.

Asked to step down from an organization leadership, due to perceived malfeasance.

I would very much like to see Sec Mattis call in Adm McRaven and tell him that he, Mattis is removing his security clearance for showing very poor judgement in entering a political fight unnecessarily. Removing a clearance does not eliminate one’s free speech rights as the clearance has nothing to do with free speech. That is just the leftist/dem/media talking point for the unthinking. This Adm wanted to make a statement, fine, honor his request, but it should be done by Mattis, not Trump. But I doubt Mattis will do it.
