Back in the 1968 Detroit riots, Michigan called out the state national guard from the Upper Peninsula, which included Nam vets. A car full of Detroit natives tried to break through a barricade. The grunt in the jeep opened fire with the .50 cal.
Two days later the rioting ended, and the Yoopers returned home.
