South Africa begins seizing white-owned farms

THE South African government has begun the process of seizing land from white farmers.

Local newspaper City Press reports two game farms in the northern province of Limpopo are the first to be targeted for unilateral seizure after negotiations with the owners to purchase the properties stalled.

While the government says it intends to pay, owners Akkerland Boerdery wanted 200 million rand ($18.7 million) for the land — they’re being offered just 20 million rand ($1.87 million).

“Notice is hereby given that a terrain inspection will be held on the farms on April 5, 2018 at 10am in order to conduct an audit of the assets and a handover of the farm’s keys to the state,” a letter sent to the owners earlier this year said.

Akkerland Boerdery obtained an urgent injunction to prevent eviction until a court had ruled on the issue, but the Department of Rural Development and Land Affairs is opposing the application.

“What makes the Akkerland case unique is that they apparently were not given the opportunity to first dispute the claim in court, as the law requires,” AgriSA union spokeswoman Annelize Crosby told the paper.

These farms are on the goverment's #farmlist that ⁦@afriforum⁩ exposed. And yet government still denies that the list exists... but it is now clear that government is lying to the public. https://t.co/U40G0U1GIv — Kallie Kriel (@kalliekriel) August 19, 2018

It comes as the South African government pushes ahead with plans to amend the country’s constitution to allow for the expropriation of land without compensation.

The seizures are intended to test the ability of the government to take land under existing laws, which the ruling African National Congress has previously stated is allowable if “in the public interest”.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner.

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?

I wish I could post the photo of my neighbor after she decided to make a close study of her infant boy's behind. He had been constipated the day before. As soon as she put her face up close to the ailing orifice, he more than made up for the previous day's lack of output. Her face, the floor, and his crib were sprayed with liquid poo. This kid staring into the business end of the cannon reminds me of this unfortunate even, which happened last week.

“Wait, what? You mean the 8% white portion of the country has any say in their future.”

From what I have read, they can vote, and have representation in the Parliament of South Africa.

Under a parliamentary system, they can work for reform, and look to the United Statea to implement Constructive Engagement 2.0.

I would expect that policy to work once again to bring about reform.

Less than 1% of the people living in South Africa are indigenous black people. The rest all immigrated from other areas after white people moved in and made South Africa the most prosperous area on the continent. By contrast over 2% of the people living in the United States are Native American.

Original attempts to “colonize” the area started in 1424 by The Portuguese. The Dutch were much more successful at “colonization” starting from about 1600. And of course the British tool control in 1807. The Dutch population which had been inhabiting the area for the previous approximately 200 years has some difficulty accepting British rule which resulted in unrest, wars and horrific atrocities.

South Africa's immigration policies are completely responsible for its current demise. Our perception of South Africa is largely a result of slanted and misleading media reporting going back literally over 100 years. Even now approximately 60% of the remaining white population are descendants of the Dutch and speak “Afrikaan” a derivative of the Dutch language that evolved during the preceding 400 years.

In 1806 when British rule became permanent. 50% of the white population were Dutch, 27% were German, 17% were French, and 5% were Scandinavian. By that time there were very few indigenous people left and the black population was much less than the white population. For mostly economic reasons large numbers of black people immigrated to the colony and the reproduction rate of these new arrivals out produced the European population. Until by 1960 the country had become over 80% black.

So we do have an example of what happens when a prosperous country let's itself be taken over by what can only be described as runaway immigration. Even while the UN and much of the rest of the world was condemning South Africa for its “apartheid” policies, people from Africa and Asia continued to vote with their feet by immigrating to South Africa. It is easy to see now how the inevitable result was that the original European inhabitants are currently being either driven from the country or becoming victims of genocide. Apartheid can now be viewed as a last ditch unsuccessful effort to save themselves.

I knew what it was decades ago. Genocide is what results when savages are allowed to run amok.

Really, you think?

Well, depending on your age, you are going to have the luxury of testing how well your voice is heard as a white minority from the luxury of your very own living room. Assuming you still have one.

If not, your grandchildren certainly will.

I can remember the celebrations when apartheid was ended. I knew that there would be no happy ending and Bruce Willis would have to revert to villains from other countries for upcoming Diehard movies.

Our ages are not relevant.

The relevant issue in South Africa is that, the nation is not gong back to Apartheid and the minority voters will have to work within the current framework of their nation’s constitution.

Or die.

Without international intervention they are going to die.

“Without international intervention they are going to die.”

America has a history of international intervention in South Africa and that intervention, otherwise known as Constructive Engagement worked during the Reagan years.

It will work again.

How long will you remain clueless? How many white people murdered by THE GOVERNMENT actions in South Africa will convince you that the dream of legal representation is of merit for survival among savages? ... Your ilk never ‘get it’ and that’s why the march backward will continue at an ever increasing pace. Have your ilk look at Europe lately?

What’s you solution for the people of South Africa?

There is no way they are going back to Apartheid.

The current land reform effort will fail, just as it failed in South Africa in 1913.

What solution?! The mutation is too far now to reverse it. White people should leave and let the murderous mutation run its course. Inevitably starvation and disease will deal with the mutation.

It is so sad that the savagery will be the lot of the black people who have managed to integrate into civilization, but there it is. Are you familiar with the savagery in China which arose to 'purge the land' of non-Mao ideology?

Satan's persona manifests as many different murderous movements but it is still the murderer from the start at the heart of the mutations, the savagery, the cloying evil.

Sorry for taking so long to respond.

Buthelezi would have been better, and as chief of his people, he has the advantage of actually being a legitimate (i.e. non-democratically elected) leader.

However, hoping that Buthelezi could have prevented post-apartheid South Africa from turning into a wastepit of black revenge fantasies is probably akin to hoping that a slightly stronger picket fence could hold back an approaching avalanche.

The sad part is that the land is actually originally white anywise. As best we can tell, Bantu peoples didn’t migrate into the territory controlled by South Africa until *after* the Dutch had started colonising it. The Dutch apparently found the land unoccupied when they started migrating there.
