Speciation is not evolution. Rapid speciation is part of the creation model.

Joel Tay
J. C has accused CMI of being ignorant of science, evolution, and speciation. Typical for such commentators, he demonstrates a lack of understanding about what biblical creationists actually believe. We reproduce his letters to us below. CMIs Joel Tay responds:

From the article:
“The Biblical Creation model actually predicts and requires not just speciation, but rapid speciation!
Creationists believe that after the Flood, each animal kind (baramin) rapidly diversified, over just a few thousand years, often forming new species in the process.
But speciation is not evolution! In fact, we had written about how the rapid rate of speciation continues to astonish evolutionists in cases of new species of mosquitoes, weeds, and house mice.
The idea that creationists do not believe in the formation of new species is a strawman argument often put forth by uninformed evolutionists, and you yourself have fallen for that fallacy. In reality, anyone familiar with creationist literature would know that creationists reject the fixity of specieswe even mention fixity of species as an argument creationists should not use!
Interestingly, the fixity of species was actually taught by Darwins anti-biblical mentor, Charles Lyell, and it has more to do with the teachings of Aristotle than the teaching of the Bible.”

Evolution is the change in the frequency with which a gene is expressed within a given population.
Don’t even bother trying to engage using logic.
In their world, the crossover from asexual reproduction to sexual reproduction is a simple mutation. What is left unexplained is that in their millions of successive mutations, how TWO identical and compatible mutations occurred at the EXACT same time and in precisely the SAME microworld where they could begin their new "family."
It seems like evolution demands a high degree of faith.
I predict this thread will end up being an evolutionary dead-end.
As in “no thanks.”
But I am letting lurkers now many Conservatives do understand TToE and it just isn’t worth it to list all the fallacies in this rehash of all the old Creationist fallacies.
Have a blessed day.
Just look how rapid it was in humans. Over the course of what, about 1,000 years, the descendants of Noah developed the characteristics of sub-Saharan Africans, east Asians, south Asians aboriginal Australians, Native Americans, and Caucasians. I’ve always wondered which characterisrics of today’s populations most resemble those of Noah. Was he Black, White, Asian or some equal mix?
” ... old Creationist fallacies.”
Nice.
Evolution requires a high degree of study and knowledge.
Evolution requires a willingness to believe the impossible.
Here’s a theistic evolutionist who would disagree with you, and I bet he has far better qualifications when it comes to study and knowledge.

...
Not all Creationists. Weren’t baramin invented to justify the literal interpretation of Noah’s Ark?

Dont get hung up on Noah. Look to Babel for the answer to that.
Trust man’s wisdom at your own detriment. God said He created everything and that it was good. Death didn’t come about until after the fall of man in the garden of Eden - so thus, no evolution for a creation process.
Any of you preaching Theistic evolution are preaching a Gospel not found in the Bible. You are calling God a liar at Genesis 1. Jesus said that for anyone teaching young Christians a lie, this is His promise to you: But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. - Matt 18:6
Even 2 Peter 3:8, the day-to-thousands that Theistics love to quote, is curse upon you. Don’t believe me? Read the chapter in full. God does not forget His promises.
Don’t follow the lie. Don’t preach the lie. Repent and Trust God, for you can only serve God or man, not both. (Matt. 6)
In the Bible ...i believe it is jacob...uses the propensity of some animals to be artifically seperated by their coat color...so that kind of change or gene frequency has always been accepted...just the biochemical and physical chemical steps involved for mitosis to become meiosis is enough to make one have to guess how and WHY it happened. Really...no system alters it structures...interactions...synthesis,timing and control, left alone and persists. Please give it up. Find some other explanation if it is not God.
I find it interesting when they talk about present day mutation in genes. For them everything should be a mutation.
Theistic evolution is not a "Gospel" and is not preached directly.
Rather, it's a theological overlay on science which simply says: nothing ever discovered or theorized by science is outside the realm God's Creations.
That includes evolution as simply one of God's tools for creating everything we see and perceive.
Theistic evolution does not say any particular scientific theory, hypothesis or brain-storming speculation is more true than any other, it only asserts that natural-science itself is an inquiry into God's works and intentions.
If evolution theory seems to be the best explanation today, so be it, but if tomorrow it's falsified by some new fact or explanation, then that new fact is also God's creation.
As a theological overlay Theistic Evolution can be taught to students in a classroom.
Preached from a pulpit, I would imagine it sounding something like this:
Chorus:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Verse 2:
When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.
Chorus:...
Verse 3:
And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.
Chorus...
Verse 4:
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then shall I bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim, "My God, how great Thou art!"
