FULL TITLE: Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen pleads guilty, admits to making illegal payments at direction of candidate to influence election

Michael Cohen, the former personal lawyer and fixer for President Donald Trump, has struck a plea deal with federal prosecutors, NBC News reported on Tuesday.

Cohen came under investigation by federal prosecutors in New York City earlier this year. They had received a referral from special counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading the probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Prosecutors had been eyeing Cohen's business dealings. The New York Times reported that federal authorities were looking into $20 million in loans for taxi businesses linked to Cohen.

I don’t know, of course, but why the repeated delays in the Flynn sentencing hearing? Mueller should never be underestimated and he is always planning to do as much damage as possible.

What exactly needs to be done? Please explain.

Ending the BS Mueller witch hunt a number of months ago would have been a great start. Getting rid of Sessions, or better yet, never nominating a swamp monster to begin with also would have helped.

Payoffs to women to silence them and/or settle lawsuits (thus influencing elections), appears to be a longstanding tradition in America.

On Thursday, the Office of Compliance released additional information indicating that it has paid victims more than $17 million since its creation in the 1990s. That includes all settlements, not just related to sexual harassment, but also discrimination and other cases.

And further, in the case of Congress, they didn't even use their own money to silence these broads.

Hillary is not in the top ten for importance.

100% incorrect. Charging and trying Hillary should have been the #1 priority, along with investigating, charging and trying the rest of the illegal Obama administration. They should have been wiped out financially defending every single charge against them. In the end, they should have been made entirely unable and so demoralized theat they were unwilling to fight back against Trump.

Instead, they have been left untouched, and given plenty of time to continue attack after attack. This was a HUGE mistake.

Your fantasy scenario would have ended in about 2 days by a liberal judge throwing out the charges. There's no evidence against Hillary, for example. Why? Very simple. Her underlings stripped the classification markings (or just retyped the classified without the markings) into emails to send to her insecure server. She said she had no idea they were classified. And they gave all those criminals immunity. And her legally safe reply is duh, I duuno.

So the liberal judge looks at the immunity deals and throws out the charges against the underlings which is the only way to get Hillary or anyone higher. Obama was obviously given the largest amount of plausible deniability. He is their deity, there's no way they would let him know about any crimes never mind have any role in committing them.

There's no evidence against Hillary, for example.

Comey outlined the crimes. She committed multiple felonies. She needs to be in jail. Instead, we sit back, say nothing, and let the left run all over us. Y'all need to realize this ain't going to stop until Trump has been pushed out of office. I'm sick of these criminals getting away with this, when you or I would be ruined over this. This isn't even about political elites and the rest of America. There are indeed two sets of laws, one for anti-American leftist liberals and one for the rest of us. It's time to put an end to that, one way or another.

The charge will be campaign violations. (Which IMHO are such BS to begin with but there you go) He got in front of it today which is good, saying he made the payment. Basically having to admit to having an affair seems to have been the cost of maybe avoiding a Grand Jury. Worth it, but there will be no end of liberals challenging Christians for voting for an adulterer.

Give up much?

President Trump is in control of things. Never doubt that.

Well you make a good point, especially with Trump getting in front of it today.

Now the Congress can’t very well impeach him for cheating on his wife, I am guessing? But they could claim that, I suppose, he is impeachable for campaign finance violations - they WILL do it I am guessing - what remains to be seen is if the GOP Senate whimpers off to a corner and abandons him.

Sort of a catch 22. One has to vote for these rat bastards (the GOP House and Senate) to keep the same rats from jumping on the impeach bandwagon. Although, from my observation, the House has been more level headed, more conservative, and more loyal to Trump than has the Senate.

If a candidate goes out and uses their own money to buy a brand new suit and gets a fashionable hair cut...they are clearly doing it to positively "influence" the election by trying to make themselves look nicer.

Yet no such thing could ever be considered a violation of campaign finance laws.

I sure hope the vast majority of clear thinking citizens see this latest effort, number 42,519, as what it really is. An effort to subvert this President when they couldn't prevent him from becoming President even while using the vast and unchecked powers of the "intelligence" and federal police agencies.

Don’t confuse my anger at the willful destruction of the rule of law in my country with thinking Trump is done.

The more the Dems push the BS the harder it’s going to be to reconcile this country - if at all.
