If a magazine ir network paid such a woman to share her story to influence an election, would that be a crime?

Oh, please. Step away from the TV....nothing burger. The US hasn’t fallen. Buckle up....it’s going to be a wild ride, but Trump (and us) will be fine.

Actually, they (House) DID impeach Clinton. He was just not convicted by the Senate.

Yeah, I said that almost immediately, but the Senate didn’t vote to remove.

Meanwhile there’s another recent article just posted, reminding us that Obama’s campaign failed to report millions of dollars of contributions including illegal contributions and was fined $375,000.

Compare that to Trump’s campaign receiving a $100,000 loan that nobody in the campaign except Cohen and maybe Trump knew about, that was reimbursed by Trump himself, not the campaign.

“were made to influence the outcome of the election”

Trump was expected to lose and the polls document that well.

“Matthew Dowd, who was the chief strategist on Bush’s 2004 reelection campaign, tweeted Friday that the race is ‘steady,’ with a ‘Clinton advantage of 3 to 5 points.’”

“Donald Trump’s poll denialism”
October 14, 2016: 4:00 PM ET
https://money.cnn.com/2016/10/12/media/donald-trump-polls/index.html

It was only the unprecedented continued bias of the press that made Trump a winner by convincing more and more Democrats that they didn’t need to vote.

Where is the evidence that Trump slept with either of these women? Nobody else has come forward with pictures or receipts or a blue dress, but everyone assumes it happened? Trump is a germaphobe so the idea that he slept with a couple of skanks, without a condom per Stephanie Clifford, sounds outlandish to me, especially when he has a gorgeous wife like Melania at home. I expect to see evidence before I believe a couple of hookers.

“The problem isn’t criminal. It’s political. It gives the Democrats fodder for impeachment if the Dems win in November. That’s why it’s so important for Republicans get out and vote and don’t become complacent as they did during the special elections a few weeks ago.”

Impeachment for a campaign finance law violation? Which is generally taken care of with a fine and a return of the money?

I can’t see that happening.

i don’t believe the payments were illegal. Cohen says he was directed to make them. what was illegal was not following up with appropriate paperwork if campaign related. there is no statement that he was direted by a candidate to do that. that is what i understand to be true here.

"If they somehow succeed in removing President Trump because a woman extorted money from him then it’s scorched earth time for Washington DC."

The deep state is not going to be deposed through the ballot box. The scorched earth is going to have to be real. President Trump has exposed the degree of corruption in the US government for all to see and it is just as bad as many other countries around the world. The US just had a better facade, until now. The failure to remove Sessions, Rosenstein and Mueller long ago is a grevious error. Now, it doesn't matter what exists or doesn't exist about Russia. The Mueller charge is to get Trump by any means necessary.

and let’s not forget that Cohen’s lawyer is neck deep in Clinton-land. This whole thing is another scam.

He is NOT doing what needs to be done.

Let’s revisit that statement closer to November.

I believe the newsmedia, such as the National Enquirer, is exempt.

How would paying for an NDA out of his own pocket be a campaign violation?

When that woman suppressed photos of Barack smoking pot, was that influenced?

When the LA Times suppressed video of Barack toasting a terrorist, was that influenced?

When the press refused to cover The claims of a gay man who reportedly had sex and cocaine with Barack in a limo, was that influenced?

The payment was made by a corporation Cohen set up. A corporate campaign contribution of $130,000 is illegal.

Let’s please not forget that there is no such crime as “collusion” in the United States Code. The very word doesn’t even appear there. This entire investigation is a violation of the law, as the special counsel statute requires that he/she be appointed to investigate a “CRIME.” No crime was stated in the authorizing paperwork, hence the entire thing is VOID AB INITIO. You make an interesting point. As a matter of Law, does anybody know if prosecuting a non-crime would by itself per se be a punishable offense?
