Thanks. I doubt this held up the deportation of illegals at all. It’s the judges who do that, not the administration.

I am curious. Why was he not deported to Poland? I thought he was Polish and the crimes were committed against primarily Polish Jews? So, why Germany? I am not arguing against his deportation. I just do not understand why it was to Germany.

“He’s a criminal and an illegal alien. Naturally, the Dems have a problem with his deportation.”

He’s been a law abiding productive citizen and entered the country legally as a post-WW2 DP. Meanwhile, genuine criminal/illegals roam at large and murder young American women at will.

“Vindictiveness”? 6,000 men, women and children murdered by firing squad while he guarded the gate to keep them from escaping. For his punishment, he got to live the life of Riley in the US for more than half a century.”

You want to go after every 16-17 year old former German buck private? That’s what the Nuremburg trials were for....to get the adult people actually responsible.

“[I]t is not hard to see a malign political motive in the White House’s press campaign surrounding the deportation,” Josh Marshall of the left-wing Talking Points Memo wrote.

By the MSM’s Charlottesville standard, Leftists who criticize this deportation are pro-Nazi. Why do they hate minorities?

Ever wonder why the USA spends so much time, even today, hunting nazi war criminals, yet, after 1950, give Japanese war criminals a pass. There are quite a few of them still alive in Japan.

So what do you propose? To also give Nazi war criminals a pass? Or to also prosecute Japanese war criminals? I suspect racism. They figure “the little yellow slant-eyed bastards were doing what comes naturally, but white people are supposed to behave better.” Or maybe they have a hard time identifying them, because “they all look alike”. They ought not to discriminate. Prosecute them all.

He was actually responsible. He manned the gate while the shooting went on, to keep anyone from escaping. This was already ruled on in court when they revoked his citizenship. The only question was to which country to deport him, and Germany finally stepped forward.

Why must you re-litigate an already decided point. Buck privates were not prosecuted. Death camp guards were not all prosecuted. But he personally took part in a specific act of genocide. The gunning down of 6,000 civilians, and probably much more. He didn’t pull the trigger, just kept all the victims inside the compound so they could be disposed of. You are disturbingly sympathetic to an accomplice to mass murder.

As a vet, yes I can sympathize with the common man sucked into the fog of war at 16-17 years of age. The German military version of an Article 15 at the time was a firing squad.

I had a friend who was a survivor of the Bataan Death March. Spent the duration in a prison camp in Japan. When finally liberated he and all his fellow 80-90 pound POW’s beat every camp guard they could catch to death with their bare hands. I sympathize with that too.

“MS-13 are amateurs compared to this guy. 6,000 murdered, gold teeth extracted. He guarded the gate.”

Sure, and as a teen ager you would have stood up against the SS and refused to obey an order. Lots of wide screen TV heroes going on here. It’s not like he was Heinrich Himmler.

So, you are comparing a Nazi death camp guard making sure no Jooos! escaped the slaughter to a Bataan Death March survivor taking revenge on his guards?

I’d sympathize with a boy sucked into the fog of war at 16-17. But that would be if they were involved in a war against an enemy who can shoot back. This ‘boy’ was eighteen when he committed his crime, and it was against defenceless civilians, not an armed and determined enemy.

Your sympathy is severely misplaced. Even your concern is misplaced. He was not prosecuted in the United States, merely de-naturalized. Even then, the authorities did not deport him until a country came forward to accept him. That is more humane treatment than he deserved, certainly more than he dished out when he was eighteen.

I regard his presence in the United States as a clear and present danger to the rule of law. I regard ISIS or MS-13 members as a clear and present danger to human life, domestic tranquillity AND the rule of law.

I don’t regard the moneys expended deporting this superannuated Nazi as in any way prejudicing the idea of deporting other, more physically vigorous criminals. On the contrary, it is better to make no exceptions, because then it becomes harder to enforce the rules in all cases. He did not deserve to spend his dotage in peace. I hope he’s extradited to Poland from Germany and hung as high as Haman or Hillary, whenever she gets hung.

Eastern Poland has a lot of Ukrainians in it. Originally, Poland was a federation composed of Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine and Ruthenia. Then the Kossack rebellion put an end to it, and Ukraine was subjugated by Russia instead of Poland. But some ethnic Ukrainians stayed in Eastern Poland.
