Freepers read the article before they comment? What are you, some kind of nut?
John became a Christian in his last days.
“Freepers read the article before they comment? “
LOL
.
I was aware of what the song was about when I was 7. Even then Lennon creeped me out as a weakling. I loved Skynyrd, that was manly rock ‘n’ roll! (RIP Ed)
I gag every time I see one and gag again when I see the driver.
According to postmodernism there is no human nature, and identity starts with the idea that the self is socially constructed and is constantly a fleeting, unstable, incomplete, open-minded flux of desires which cannot be fulfilled.
No, he was smackin’ it up and cursing God from what I have read. He died as he lived, miserably.
Thanks for posting. I live in a bubble of people living purposeful lives in Jerusalem, so I have an unusual perspective. Still, I think the problems described in the article are much more severe in America.
The Alex Jones version of ‘Imagine’. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rH13rWIEN4
If I go to hell, that song will be on the muzak system for eternity ,alternating with Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll”.
“Imagine” is the national anthem of the globalist movement.
I don’t think so. I heard the interview he did just hours before he was murdered. I hope he made it.
I thought the article was rambling mush.
I have always hated that insipid song.
That plate would be meaningless to people younger than 40.
.
It is an interesting article, sadly this is no longer a place for informed discussion about the topics posted, just recitation of echochamber “facts” and memes.
Can’t tell you how much I loathe that song. Lennon must have love explaining those lyrics to God. And Gods reply;
” John You said your group was bigger than me, and you imagine me not existing. Let me send you to where your imagination wanted to go....oh, better get one last drink of cold water!”
As a huge John Lennon fan (Yes, I know he was abusive to women and could be an epic asshole). His song Imagine wasn’t anti-religion so much as it was pro-peace. Lennon lacked total understanding because he could not see over the horizon. If he were alive today I suspect that he would be the one Beatle who spoke up against the anti-civilizationism of Islam. Yes, he was that brutally honest. Lennon became a Christian in the 70’s. It’s probably the least known thing about him because it doesn’t fit the narrative.
I’m happy to see that I’m not the only one here who knows this.
